COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Back in Black is our newest year-round beer available now in six pack cans and on draft. Brewed like an American IPA but with the addition of rich, dark malts, this beer has all the flavor and hop character you expect with a smooth, mellow finish.

Nice and smooth. Definitely taste all the dark malts. I like how they mix it up and distribute in a can. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from 12oz can into pint glass. Big three finger off white head. Hoppy aroma. Taste is bitter grassy hops with a faint roasted touch of coffee. It does have a smooth mellow finish. Overall it is drinkable but not impressed. Leaves a lot to be desired. I am new to the style "Black IPA" but like the idea of it being someone who loves the roasted feature of stouts and porters who also appreciates the hops of IPAs. Will look for more Black IPAs to taste and rate.

2015-02-06. Black body with a small tan head. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly hoppy with a light roast and dark malt. 7+ Flavour is pleasantly bitter throughout, fruity green hops, notes of cocoa and roast. Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Solid take on the style with an interesting balance between hops and roast. Enjoyable. Can shared by mds.

12 can Looks dark brown red. Smells of centennials and a hint of dark. Tastes really nicely hopped whilst having a dark sweet malt. Balanced for Black IPA.

12 ounce can. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a large rocky tan head. Wonderful pine and citrus hop nose with a touch of roasted malt and burnt sugar. Spicy and bitter, like a good IPA should be, with the added notes of roasted malt, sweet cocoa and dark coffee. Excellent balance and full bodied. A must have. Best Black IPA Iíve tasted yet.

Can from xxxporkchop. Pours dark back with frothy tan head.Aroma of a grapefruit thatís been sliced open, with hints of roused coffee. Tastes of roasted coffee and grapefruit with a bitter aftertaste. Really good IPA

Poured from the can into a snifter. Pours a dark brown/black with a small white head. Aroma is mocha, chocolate, citrus, and roasted malts. The citrus in the beer compliments the overall taste of the malts very well. It is a balanced beer that is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Slight sticky mouth feel that is slightly bitter in the finish. Very good beer

Canned from Grocery Outlet. Black in color with slight clarity. Roasted nose with a good amount of hop bitterness. A hint of sweetness as well. Roasted malt with a little bit of coffee. Nicely hoppy finish with some grapefruit peel.

Pours black with high carbonation. Smells and tastes like an IPA, although less hoppy than most. Malty and sweet, but still well balanced with a lingering hops bitterness. Unique and pretty nice.

Dark, stouty and hoppy. Drank in a can from Dan's. Im not a hoppy guy and a half stout so its not an easy sell. And Im just not into it. Good song though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at Taphouse Grille, Seattle
Dark brown color with creamy head. Itís a roasty example, with a good contribution of dark malts and resiny hops, very nice aggressive result.
