COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Back in Black is our newest year-round beer available now in six pack cans and on draft. Brewed like an American IPA but with the addition of rich, dark malts, this beer has all the flavor and hop character you expect with a smooth, mellow finish.

Nice hop and roast aroma. Black, with ruby highlights when held up to the light. Thick light tan head. Flavor is roasted, a bit of tartness and a little bit of bitterness in the finish. Nice and easy drinking, nothing extraordinary, but tasty.

Pretty good. Aroma’s mainly hop with a hint of malt. Appearance is excellent with a huge, long lasting, tan head, lots of lace, and a clear dark garnet color. Taste is similar to nose, good balance between malt sweet, hop bitter, & carbonic tang. Good body. Finish falls fast at first and then tapers very slow at the last. Fairly drinkable beer; wouldn’t mind another.

Can. Pours a brown with a tan head. Piney aroma. Piney hop flavor throughout that lingers a bit. A very good black IPA.

From notes: this is very well balanced- there is a awesome bitter kick on top of the nice roasty and chocolaty malt flavor... Very good black IPA

Poured from 12oz can into pint glass. Big three finger off white head. Hoppy aroma. Taste is bitter grassy hops with a faint roasted touch of coffee. It does have a smooth mellow finish. Overall it is drinkable but not impressed. Leaves a lot to be desired. I am new to the style "Black IPA" but like the idea of it being someone who loves the roasted feature of stouts and porters who also appreciates the hops of IPAs. Will look for more Black IPAs to taste and rate.

2015-02-06. Black body with a small tan head. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly hoppy with a light roast and dark malt. 7+ Flavour is pleasantly bitter throughout, fruity green hops, notes of cocoa and roast. Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Solid take on the style with an interesting balance between hops and roast. Enjoyable. Can shared by mds.

12 can Looks dark brown red. Smells of centennials and a hint of dark. Tastes really nicely hopped whilst having a dark sweet malt. Balanced for Black IPA.

12 ounce can. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a large rocky tan head. Wonderful pine and citrus hop nose with a touch of roasted malt and burnt sugar. Spicy and bitter, like a good IPA should be, with the added notes of roasted malt, sweet cocoa and dark coffee. Excellent balance and full bodied. A must have. Best Black IPA I’ve tasted yet.

Can from xxxporkchop. Pours dark back with frothy tan head.Aroma of a grapefruit that’s been sliced open, with hints of roused coffee. Tastes of roasted coffee and grapefruit with a bitter aftertaste. Really good IPA

Poured from the can into a snifter. Pours a dark brown/black with a small white head. Aroma is mocha, chocolate, citrus, and roasted malts. The citrus in the beer compliments the overall taste of the malts very well. It is a balanced beer that is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Slight sticky mouth feel that is slightly bitter in the finish. Very good beer
