Back in Black is our newest year-round beer available now in six pack cans and on draft. Brewed like an American IPA but with the addition of rich, dark malts, this beer has all the flavor and hop character you expect with a smooth, mellow finish.

Can, from argo0, thanks! Pours black, with a small, slightly off-white head, and nice lacing. Aroma is hoppy, floral, hay, and some citrus. Flavor is nice and malty--some roasty dark malts mixed with a pleasant flavor, but a little bit watery. Finishes a little bit dry, but not as much as I would expect.

Pours a dark brown color with dark ivory almost tan colored head. Pine, roasted malt, bread, and some grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium to full bodied. Finishes with pine and roast.

A nice malty IPA. Slightly hoppy but not overpowering. From can so tainted possibly by metallic taste

Nice dark pour with moderate head. Toasted grains with a touch of coffee with grapefruit hopping rounding it nicely. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a can at the Gnarly Barley. Pours ruby brown with a thick, frothy beige head. Tastes like toasted malt, nutty, earthy, and grapefruit hops. Light/Medium body and carbonation. Smells like toasted malt, grapefruit hops, nutty, and earthy.

Had at Black Olive. Pours from can a black color with some off white foam head. Nose like an IPA - some grapefruit / citrus. Some citrus comes through in the taste, along with some roasted malt. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz can. Pours a dark brown with orange tint and moderate head. Aromas of pine, resin, creamy coffee, and grapefruit. Flavors follow same with toasted bready malts and a bit of ginger. Nice

Nice aroma of some pine, chocolate, and roasted malt. Ebony color, with a fluffy tan head that holds nicely. Sweet richness up front. Bitter chocolate, some burnt malt, and molasses. Bitterness cuts in right away, and is slightly off when blending with sweetness. Get a lot of pine, and bitterness rings throughout finish. Slightly watery mouth feel. Decent.

Do you like black IPAs? If yes, then this is awesome. Basically, imagine what you’d want the style to be, the roast of a nice stout but a little lighter in the body and complementary hops that amplify everything and this is it. Dang good beer.
