COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Back in Black is our newest year-round beer available now in six pack cans and on draft. Brewed like an American IPA but with the addition of rich, dark malts, this beer has all the flavor and hop character you expect with a smooth, mellow finish.

Can 12 oz @ Bir&Fud bottega (Rome, Italy). Oh yeeee-yeeee-yeeeee-ahhhh, AC/DC in my glass... haha! So, a very very very BLACK pouring under a very very very WHITE and frothy head (that vanishes quickly, have to say that) it’s a great introduction. Aroma is earthy, grass and roasted. Some spiced notes, minimal coffee, but earthy does the big part, and it’s pleasant. Just a little, so little sour. Something bittersweet as well. At mouth it’s fizzy, light body, something fruity like pomegranate, Citrus, molasses, a little flat in the end. Leads to an earthy and grassy finish, in which you could find licorice and grapefruit; long-lasting. As a black IPA, I was expecting more roasted malt, or coffee/chocolate notes. It’s too much IPA-oriented for me. Anyway, not surprising, but it’s okay.

Excellent, mature, measured Black IPA. Good roast, big hops, particularly on the back end. Chocolate and citrus on the the swallow. Well made and very approachable.

Pours a hazy copper/brown with a bunch of fine off-white head that dissipates quickly. Smell is grass, trees, and some caramel. Palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied with good carbonation. Taste is bitter, then gets a big bitter kick, then gets a bit more of a sweet balance before a slightly bitter aftertaste.

12oz can. Pours opaque black with thick foamy tan head. Aroma of deep hops up front and roasted caramel back. Body heavy with a soft carbonation. Flavor salt balanced by bitter, tapering nicely. Overall, a fairly simple brew for an IPA, but likeable. I was hoping for something more complex, but i am on a quest for the perfect Black IPA, so my standards may be unrealistic right now.

Can @ YNWA, Kolding. Pours clear deep red with a medium, creamy, beige head. Aroma has chocolate, pine, peach, light roasted. Medium to low carbonation, nice dry and creamy. Flavour has fat dark chocolate, light roasted, pine, peach, grapefruit. Nice lingering bitterness.

Can. Woodier, pinier nose with a few dank hops thrown in, a little green with beautiful chocolate roast. Pours deep mahogany brown with a large and rocky tan head. Taste semi-dry with light astringency and medium bitterness, chocolate and roast, a touch of ash and torched wood, all kinds of neat burned and fired flourishes, but toned-down hops. Hint of spice, prickling hops. Light-medium body, smooth and super clean.

Pretty solid Black IPA, but nothing too memorable. Malty and resinous aroma. Tasty, almost stout like malts in the body of the beer. The hops are there to give it a little kick, but nothing too powerful or citrusy. Pretty watery mouthfeel. Easy to drink, easy to forget. Not bad at all though.

Pours a very dark, but not black, with a large mocha head. There are hints of citrus hops, but there is mostly a roasted coffee aroma with hints of bread. A nice mix of medium bitter and sweetness. A solid medium body with a creamy, sticky texture and a slight bitter finish. If you’re looking for a roasted IPA that comes in cans (liquid bricks are great for camping and hiking) this is a good bet and it’s worth the money at 6.5 ABV.

Poured from can. Frothy off white head. Creamy on the palate. Very good roast like flavor balanced with cascade like hops. This is a wonderful tasting Black IPA.

Very smooth black ipa. creamy head and a slight hoppy bitterness. Stands right up with mountain standard among my favorites.
