I love monkeys! お猿ーさん大&# can from Rakuten. Drunk from a pint glass. Deep yellow gold with a thick fluffy off-white head The aroma is floral, hoppy, citrus & maybe a touch of resin. The mouthfeel is a bit light but bitter, nice caramel malt backbone with a spicy herbal hop finish. A yummy beer that hit the spot. Hmm, the bitterness seems to build up & become increasingly astringent as you drink it. Still very nice. I liked it best in a tulip...

Can with helmeted chimp on (as pictured) consumed on a golf cart at Boulder Creek, CA, 28/10/13. Peach and caramel nose. Pine, peach and grapefruit. Good underpinning husk, abrupt floral bitterness developing some liquorice. Miniaturised IPA character. Highly likeable; needless to say it pisses all over the Wetherspoons version.

Can from 16 Tons Taphouse, Eugene. Pours a medium amber color, little to no off-white head. Aroma slightly resinous, crisp. Body middling, thinner, flatter. Little to no bitterness. Meh.

From a 12 oz can shared in Avon NC. Pours a hazy copper with a thick off white head. Fruity hop nose. Flavors of pine resin and hints of grapefruit and pineapple. Medium bodied. Bitter finish.

Can from Aggie Liquor in Davis, CA. Pours a yellow color with a decent head. Not much flavor for me, just a bunch of bitter hop. Guess I should have paid attention to the name a little more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
