4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
To me, it smells almost exactly like its sister beer "Live Free or Die" IPA. Big floral notes, grapefruit, tangerine, pine, fresh hop and caramel. The only perceivable difference is that the malt presence is stronger in this one, which scores it a little higher in my mind. The flavors are nicely pronounced as well: floral, grapefruit, tangerine, pine, caramel, fresh hop, a dash of light pineapple, and a big punch of charred, biscuity malts in the finish. Earthy spice pops out in the aftertaste. Got a new go-to, I do believe.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours out orangey brown with a tan head that lasts almost as long as the beer does. Sweet hoppy aroma that smells akin to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. The flavor adds in loads of sweet caramel along with fruity and orange-flavored hops. Nice and thick, quite the accomplishment at 4.4 abv. The finish is a little too dry, detracting somewhat from the otherwise refreshing beer. All in this seems almost exactly like a good English bitter, but with Cascade hops.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft @ The Alehouse Amesbury. Orange/copper color with fast dying head, no lace. Aroma is mostly fruity hops with some caramel hints, maybe even a hint of grass. Flavor starts sweet then transitions in a decent amount of bitterness. I don’t get any citrus in the flavor... All floral and grassy hops. The body is fuller then I would have guess for such a lower gravity. Bitterness lingers for a nice duration after the sip. The name of this brew is fitting, nice amount of bitterness. Overall a well executed IPA, well worth a sample.

Pint on tap at Alewife. Clear orange-amber with a lasting ring of cream. Nose is orange toffee, toast, a touch of resin. Flavor is caramel, toasted nut, with a nice light touch of citrus and resin. Light-medium body is velvety smooth with a low-medium carbonation and a very chuggable balance.

Can from Lazy Dog. Pours a transparent light amber with a nice layer of cream colored head. Aroma of floral hops and grass. Taste upfront of citrus that quickly fades to a slight bitterness. Very nice session.

Poured from a can into a tulip. Aroma of mostly malt and caramel. Citrusy hop flavor and more malt than expected with the low alcohol content. Overall, they did a nice job making an american pale ale....I mean session IPA.

Great body for a lower ABV ale. Nice and hoppy but still let's the malts come through. Nice on 21st!

Tastes and smells like an IPA, no clue as to the reduced alcohol. Full hoppy aroma, hops and malt blend well in overall presentation. I can see why this is a session ale, perfect, full of flavor, good looking, low alcohol. Well done!
