Pours a slightly hazy gold-orange. Moderate white head. The nose is lightly citrus with faint notes of caramel. Mouthfeel Leans toward sharp and dry. The taste blends nicely from the citrus hops to the smooth pale malt base. Overall, I gotta say this an impressive session ale which I would recommend for all occasions. It's smooth and easy at 4.4%, and my taste buds are totally satisfied. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz., cool looking can from Vintage Estates Wine and Beer, poured into a Sam Adams "perfect pint." Partly-opaque yellow and orange color, looks like a typical pale ale or IPA. White 1/2" head that sticks around for a while. Very lemony scent, with plenty of malts to back it up. Taste is fruity and piney, not as floral as some full-strength IPAs but not as piney as some other session IPAís. Overall not bad, Iím just not sure how many breweries can jump onto this beer trend before the market is saturated, since they all taste so similar.

I do appreciate the cans. Reminded me in a way of Lipton Iced Tea. Good but not worth seeking out.

"Itís got kind of a fruity, skunky, you know, hop to it. It definitely exceeds the usual pale ale category. Itís approaching IPA." -my esteemed roommate. I have to agree with him on this one. He loves it more than I do, I wish it were more full bodied, and that the color were less translucent. Overall, another quality beer from a quality microbrew.

Can. Moderately bitter with some pine and light citrus notes. Bready malt backbone.

Pours a medium golden color with a finger of eggshell foam. Nose is nice cracker malt, floral grass and hints of citrus. Palate follows the nose nicely with nice balance and solid bitterness. Hints of citrus, bitter dandelion and floral grass.

Draught at the 21:st amendment in San Fransisco. Small beige head. Clear yellow color. Fresh hop aroma. Super fresh hop taste with a small bitterness and a tuch of caramell taste to make a very drinkable beer, perfect thirst quencher. Medium body.

Canned. Pours a copper orange color with a slightly orange-beige head, and lacing. Really nice color. Aroma is orange, tropical fruit, lots of bold hop flavors. Slight maltiness Really big aroma considering this is a session. Flavor has more of the caramel malt sweetness up front, hop bitterness in the middle and a nice long bitter hop finish. Really nice. This is my favorite session IPA.

Pours pale, cloudy orange color. White head that fades relatively quickly. Moderate, disconnected lacing. Citrus in the aroma, otherwise faint. Some visible carbonation but not excessive. Thin, but sweet malt initial taste with bitter hops next, and lingering in the aftertaste. The aftertaste is a bit unpleasant and faintly fruity. Not much mouth feel - thin. Not well balanced; the overall impression is thin, watery and hopped. Not very impressive. Even though the brewer calls this a pale ale, with "bitter" in the name, I was expecting better balance, more malt, not watery citrus. Disappointing.

Aroma: flowers, some tropical fruits. Appearance: slightly hazy brown, small, creamy, beige head. Taste: light to medium bitter. Palate: bitters continue, some malty sweets coming up. Overall: OK IPA, but nothing special. Pint at Big Brew, Morristown.
