Great grassy, pine and grapefruit hops aroma. Nice bitterness but not overkill. Bitterness matches the aroma. Slight bready and meal backbone to match the bitterness. Nice IPA. Easy drinking for 7%. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 24, 2009 12 oz. can. No freshness date seen. Poured out a typical IPA color, with a minimal tan colored head. It left a decent lacing down the sides of the glass. Aromas are typical west coast hops, slight biscuit or bread note.
Flavors are typical west coast ipa, hops, hops, and more hops.
Medium mouthfeel, ok body. Has a strange aftertaste, like it got hot or something. hirigalzkar (604), Stockholm, Sweden

Taste is a little bit soapy, a little peppery, and a hint of citrus. Flavor is a bit on the sweet side and not even a little bit balanced. Not the worst beer ive ever had, but its not great. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2009 Can. Love the can and giving some bonus points for that one. Cloudy copper color, normal sized white head. Great nose of grapefruit and citrus. Until I tasted it, I thought this could be an upper end IPA. Unfortuantely the flavor’s a bit of a drop off. Soapy and stale grains, only a bit of a that nice hoppy bite. Finishes a little sour. theisti (1699), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2009 12 oz can purchased at 99 Bottles in Federal Way, Washington. Pour is copper golden with a slight haze and a two inch off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of soft and faint pine resin and fruit bitterness. Bready mild caramel malt present. Taste is apple fruit, slight sour bitter, and earth resin. Palate is medium. Drinkable, though not that clean. Birdiebeagle (820), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 12, 2009 Can Pours a clear golden with a decent off white head. The head seems to last well and produce pretty good lacing. The aroma is hoppy with touches of citrus, mostly grapefruit and pineapple, sweet malts, and faintly pine. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is good and bitter. I love the hops. Has a good balance though and not over the top. Has a medium body. The texture is resiny. Has a good finish with a good aftertaste. I saw a sixer of this and because of the name had to buy it even though it was in cans. The can explains why and it makes sense even though it feels wt. Good drinking beer.
