BREW FREE! OR DIE IPA is brewed with some serious west coast attitude. This aromatic golden IPA starts with three different hops to the nose, quickly balanced by a solid malt backbone supporting the firm bitterness. Our top selling beer at the pub, this IPA starts big and finishes clean leaving you wanting more.

Can pours golden color with thick pillow-like head. Aroma is some caramel, citrus, and pine hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor follow the nose and mixes sweet caramel upfront with pine and citrus. Finish has the hop flavors linger for a while. I enjoyed this can of brew.

Can courtesy of snojerk321. Pours medium gold with a 2 finger off-white head that leaves great lacing. The nose is caramel malt and floral hops. The taste is sweet caramel upfront with some earthy hops in the middle followed by sweet citrus in the finish. Medium bodied. Decent IPA – thanks Torry.

Thanks to cloudskipper for this awesome IPA in a can. Crushed with Jakebra as usual. Excellent citrusy, hoppy, sweet nose. Flavor is pretty solid as well, just as not as much awesomeness present. Really dug this brew. Thanks again, Chris.

Can courtesy of WeeheavySD. Pours amber with a white head. Smells of citrus, pine and spicy. Tastes citrussy and sweet with a hint of melon on the finish.

Can, courtesy hopscotch. Pours a hazy, glowing, orange-amber color. A compact, foamy, off-white head is lasting, and it leaves sticky, broken sheets of lacing behind on the glass. The nose shows a sweet base of toffee, light biscuit, and malted wheat, while substantial, perfumy citrus blossoms, grapefruit and grassy hops lend significant bitterness. There’s a heap of buttery diacetyl, a trait I see is somewhat common in the canned version. Flavors follow suit, well balanced between sweet toffee and biting, bitter citrus and grass, yet again plagued by that buttery, chemical taste that is just off-putting. The body is substantial and well carbonated, but its cloying nature isn’t something I’m willing to forgive considering all of this brew’s other flaws. There’s a decent IPA lurking somewhere within, but the diacetyl is rampant.

Can... Cloudy golden ale with a mid-sized, fluffy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is malty and fruity - Minneola and other tropical fruits - with an oddly spicy quality. Medium-bodied with tingly carbonation. Bittersweet, biscuity, fruity flavor. Lengthy, raspy, semi-dry finish. Thanks to WeeHeavySD for providing the can!

Thanks to WeeHeavySD for this one - pours a hazy gold, with a sudsy, lasting head - the aroma is of pine, grapefruit, and heavy sweet malts, with some tanginess/tartness that seem like the beginning stages of an infection - the flavor confirms these suspicions - starts with some chewy malt sweetness, tangy citrus/apricot, and grassy hop bitterness, but there is a tartness (almost a sourness) and earthy character in the background that definitely tastes like an infection setting in (judging by some other ratings, I am not the only one to encounter this problem) - tastes like a pretty good beer aside from this - I guess they just need to work on the quality control.

GABF 2008. Hazy pour with small head. Hoppy nose with citrus and malts. Flavor was malty goodness with tangerine, grapefruit and tropical fruits. Went back for many of these.

Appearance: Pours a rather hazy, orange-hued body with a small, white head. Smell: Particularly pungent nose of citrusy, fruity hops ahead of the pale malts and lesser waft of wildflower honey. Taste: Faintly bready malts with a honeyish sweetness present. Richly fruity blend of hop flavors, notably tangerine, citric grapefruit, pineapple, and even the noble lemon with a medium-high, earthy bitterness. Finishes reasonably dry with a lasting bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. Drinkability: A pleasant, well-balanced IPA. I would cheerfully have another.

Can from BevMo Van Nuys. Dark nose with tangy hop presence. Flavor indeed boasts a thick malt backbone - very English. A couple clicks up and this totally becomes a Barley Wine - absolutely has that barely-balanced maltiness. Quite nice.
