Deep golden color. Citrus and piney hop aromas. Assertive malt backbone supporting the overwhelming bitterness. Dry hopped in the fermenter with four types of hops giving an explosive hop aroma. Previously known as 21A-IPA.

Is this an impossible category? With "pale ale" below it and "imperial IPA" above it, have we made it impossible to make a respectable IPA? Why does everyone say this is "pretty good" or "enough" or "ok" or "nice?" Stop chanting ’Go big or go home’ this is a real IPA. It is balanced, it doesn’t overwhelm you with hops. It paints the hop aroma over good hop flavor and balances it with hop bitterness all on a canvas of malt support. You know what? Nothings wrong with that. Nothing.

The surprising thing about this beer is the light finish. The aroma is really well balanced and pleasant. You know how some IPAs have a strong aroma but it doesn’t really work or it’s just over powering blah? Well, this is where this beer excels. The taste kind of tapers off the high hopes the aroma lends, but it’s still a solid citrusy, resiny experience. The finish is somewhat lighter and less bitter than you might think. It’s sort of hidden under the malt and the hop flavors. It’s good but just not as punchy as you might expect. Overall, it’s a really good beer--great with Thai or Mexican food.

Best part of this beer is appearance with lots of a long lasting foamy head and lace plus a clear amber color. Aroma is nice with a resiny, somewhat citrus character. However, in flavor the trend reverses; i get a long lasting resiny kind of medicinal taste. I don’t get balance between the flavor and that shows up in palate as well. Overall the finish leaves me with some flavors that I want to wash my mouth out with something else.

pours unclear very light golden with a reviving eggshell white head, good retention and lacing. piney peaches, their syrup sweetness, barley sugar, harsh peppery resins, some grapefruit zest, spicy grainy malt bill - cheap malt extract features, slightly earthy and astringent tea leaves, booze. light carbonation, light to medium body - oily; slightly harsh spicy-earthy-citrusy-piney finish. delivers resins more than fragrant hoppiness. below average ipa.

Poured from a 12 oz can. Pours a golden color with 2 fingers of head. Aroma of earthy and citrusy hops balanced out by a sturdy maltiness. Tastes follows the nose, balanced from the start, with a mix of citrus, fruitiness, grassy/earthiness, and a bit of breadiness. Palate is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall a solid IPA that is very well balanced and extremely easy to drink. Big fan.

Poured from a can into a glass. Huge floral aroma. Nice darker golden body. Much bigger malt backbone than I was expecting, but it was good. Semi sweet taste with a nice touch of hoppy bitterness.

Palate- A medium bodied brew with moderate to light carbonation. has a nice dry finish. Overall- A nice IPA, I would drink this again.

Pours a clear golden with a medium white head that leaves fine lacing. Nose is of pine and fruits, caramel and some light soap. Taste is lightly sweet and moderately bitter, offers some tropical fruits first and then some caramel and some really light alcohol notes. Body is light-ish, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel a little watery (but also slightly oily). Overall a good american IPA, really drinkable!

Can (12 oz) bought @ Winooski Beverage Warehouse.

Appearance: Clear golden/orange with a medium mostly lasting white head and some lacing.

Aroma: Tropical fruits (mangos mostly) with caramel, piney notes and toasted notes. Soapy notes too.

Taste: Mangos, caramel, pine, light sweetness, toasted malt and medium bitterness.

Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Dry finish. Lingering resinous finish.

Overall: Good IPA that doesn’t stand out on any features but that is slightly above average in almost any aspects. The "finish" is a bit too sticky and harsh for my liking, but not by much so it’s bearable. Tasty tropical IPA.

Smack you in the mouth hops, not going to pretend I know every flavor going on there...just a good bitter hop flavor to me.
