Deep golden color. Citrus and piney hop aromas. Assertive malt backbone supporting the overwhelming bitterness. Dry hopped in the fermenter with four types of hops giving an explosive hop aroma. Previously known as 21A-IPA.

12 oz can poured into a pint glass. A: Pours an amber color with tiny specks of yeast floating around. The head is a creamy two finger offwhite shade. While retention isnít the greatest, I love the texture and the lacing it leaves behind. S: The hops have faded a bit on this one, but it still provides hints of pine and grapefruit. Thereís a lot of caramel and toffee malt featured here, as well. Decent aroma here. T: I first notice some minor piny hop flavors to start, before it washes away with a lot toffee-esque malt. The finish is earthy with touches of fruity esters (unheard of in an American IPA, it seems); to the point where one could mistake the back end for excess booziness. The earthy nature of the malts arenít my cup of tea, but itís okay otherwise. Seems to be a bit more complex than many others in the style. M: Itís well attenuated for all of its maltiness, creating a fairly dry brew in spite of the faded hops and creamy feel. There is a bit of lingering sweetness on the front of the palate, which is expected. O: Gotta love a canned IPA, even if this one isnít fantastic. Iíll have to give this a second chance fresh.

Can pours hazy yellow with large off-white head. Aroma of pine and citrus. Flavors of yellow grapefruit, orange juice, and pine with a nice bitter hop finish that is balanced nicely with a hint of sweet navel oranges. Very drinkable, wonderful lacing.

Pours from a can very hazy orange-gold with massive foamy head of variable bubbles. Great lacing. Head hangs out awhile. Aroma is piney tropical citrus with notes of malt. Taste is lemon, grapefruit, pineapple citrus riding caramel malts. Sweet upfront and bitter out the back. Aftertaste is dryly bitter with lingering earthy caramel malt. A bit too dry and bitter but enjoyable.

Pours a chill hazed golden yellow from the can with think white head that lasts and leaves moderate lace. Aroma is big grapefruit and citrus hop bomb with a home of malty sweetness. Taste follows, less malty but very clean. Good light bitterness with a mellow carbonation. Solid IPA.

Fra dåse. Klar rav-gylden med kridhvidt skum. Frugtig, fyrig, krydret. Grapefrugt, gran. Sødlig maltbase. Karamel. Fint balanceret. Lang, tør, men ikke udtørrende finish. En til, tak. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
