Can. Pours a clear dark gold body with a one finger frothy white head that faded slowly and left some very heavy lacing. The nose is pretty hoppy, but not as intense as one might expect from the typical ’west coast IPA’ style. Some citrus and pine but also a fairly prominant malt backbone. The flavor is maybe showing a little bit more age than is desired, the hops seem a bit muted and dull with as much emphasis on the malt as the hops. Finishes with some lingering bready maltiness and just a light bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. I’m going to have to see if this rate holds up when I can be sure of the freshness.

fairly hoppy beer, a bit bitter at the end. Overall lots of citrus taste that highlight the beer and there is enough malt that the hops are not overbearing on the palate.

As soon as I opened the can I got hit in the face with the smell of strong, citrus hops and spices. The color is a hazy lemon yellow, with a foamy head. The taste is delicious. The hops kind of work together in such a way that with one sip there are pine notes, with the next it’s all citrus and flowers, and then grassy herbs the next time, etc. Behind it all there is a really solid, rich, buttery malt. I will buy this again.

Just a great beer! Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white top. Aroma is citrus and floral hops. Taste is a lively citrus hop bitterness that livens up the mouth and tickles with a sweet finish. Nicely balanced with bready malts.
