3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 BeerBelcher (972) - Columbus, USA - APR 27, 2011
I love "tasty-crack cans," yet I was a bit disappointed by this beer. After trying Back in Black and Bitter American I had high expectations for a clean, hop-forward beer that weren’t really met. It starts out great with a beautiful brilliant brass-colored body and lots of foam. Aroma is lightly pineapple-y but dominated more by malt than anything else. And flavor is similar, malt forward with hops playing a supporting role. Maybe my example was a touch old, but I would think the can packaging would extend the shelf life of this beer quite a bit. Still, I didn’t really think the prominence of malt in this beer was appropriate for an American IPA nor to my taste. Mouthfeel was pretty good. Not bad, just not what I was expecting.

Can..pours a light copper color, nice white head..aroma with some citrus, pine and a little floral...taste has some malt with a nice hop backbone. Citrus, grassy, enjoyable. Good dry hop finish. Another good IPA.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Jayseppi (48) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 20, 2012
Piney and resinous hop aroma with a sweet crystal smell from the malt. Very piney and grassy flavour with resin undertones and some sweet balance from the malt. The finish moves to slightly more balanced.

Dewey's in Dayton before the opera. Slight aroma. Pale and clear for an IPA. Not over the top hoppy. Good.

Bottle. The pour was a clear medium golden amber with an average sized (1-2 finger) white fluffy head that diminished down to a few puddles and a large collar of residue, creating some excellent sheeting of sticky lacing.
The aroma was of a straw like malt, floral and grassy hops and a moldy yeast with notes of caramel and citrus (grapefruit and orange peel).
The taste was lightly bitter, mildly malty and a tad acidic with a hint of caramel from the start and then became very hoppy with a strong citrus peel bitterness and a decent alcohol presence towards the end. The flavor lingered for a decent while being of a bitter hoppy citrus taste.
Mouthfeel was a few steps beyond light in body with a dry oily texture and a nice lively carbonation.
Overall a brew with a good balance of bitterness and maltiness with a great hoppy citrus feel...
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Marheb (669) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 7, 2012
Fruits exotiques, résine de pin, orange et fleurs en arôme, assez raffiné, docile. Au goût c’est un peu moins accompli qu’en arôme mais c’est loin d’être insignifiant. Buvabilité excessive.

Can. Pours hazy copper, with average, creamy white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is floral and grassy hops, citrus fruit, biscuit malt, light spice and herbs. Flavor is hops forward with good supporting malt and fruit esters; dry, hoppy finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.

Clear bright orange pour with a solid head. A nice floral/grassy aroma. Some fruit and malt too. A nice fresh hop taste. Very floral and grassy with some citrus too. Very refreshing, earthy aftertaste. A solid IPA.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 BARLEYWINEO (106) - Tacoma, USA - APR 28, 2012
A: Poured a deep golden orange color with a nice white head.
S: Nose is light citrus and some pine with even some tropical fruit notes.
T: Taste is fuller bodied than I thought it would be. A subtle dose of hops with a lot of malt. Not a lot of flavor on this; Citrus and piney twang to it and finishing with a nice hop bite.
M: Medium body
O: Average across the board

Awesome India Pale Ale. I think this brew has near perfect balance yet a smooth hoppy kick.

12oz can. Pour was a beautiful golden color leaving a 1/4 inch of off-white head that disappeared quickly. Aroma is of grapefruit, pine and citrus. Taste of well balanced bitterness and malt leaving your taste buds wanting more. A solid IPA for you die hards. This is easily in my top 10 IPA list.
