duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England May 28, 2004 Tap@21st Amendment Brewery, Restaurant and Bar. Both grape and grapefruit are present. Pretty typically hoppy aromatic American IPA, lotsa flavour, but not high on character, pretty decent.
kyzr (909), Bozeman, Montana, USA Aug 19, 2008 Bonus can thanks to AgentSteve! Pours a light amerber with good sized head. Nice foral and pine nose. Flavor is citrus hops and juicy. Very well balanced with malt, nice good backbone of malt that bring a little sweetness to this IPA. Very clean hoppy finish. thickfreakness (52), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 18, 2008 A nice clear amber pour with a big inch and a half off white head. This beer had some of the best lacing I had ever seen; it was from the top to the bottom and you could tell the size of each and every sip just by the lacing. I came into this one with little to no real expectations and the first thing that popped into my mind upon smelling this one is Wow. A very surprising spicy, floral, piney hop nose and a crushed grain, caramel malt smell to balance it out. Really pleasant. The taste is more of the smell. Nice hop character (spice, pine, floral) with caramel, fresh crushed grain taste. A crisp, dry finish and a medium mouthfeel. Very pleasant IPA and really fresh! ucusty (914), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 17, 2008 Thanks to Golubj! Bright, transparent orange pour. Fluffy white head that slowly settles to puffy island. Thick lace. Pine hop aroma. Hoppy with a malty backbone. Notes of citrus and grapefruit. Bitter finish golubj (962), Redwood City, California, USA Aug 15, 2008 Can. Nice amber pour with dense, but thin head. Aroma is fresh grapefruit, fruit rind and papaya. Flavor is also very grapefruity with nice bitterness / fruit rind in the finish. Chewy and bready malt. Maybe some earthy hopping also. The dry hopping is done well and doesn’t come off as metallic. Good beer. Ibrew2or3 (1648), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Aug 14, 2008 Courtesy of tpd975. Can pours clear copper with gold edges and thin off white head. The aroma is big bold hops of pine and grapefruit juice, sweet tangelo backed up by a malty sweetness. The taste is semi sweet tangelo, orange peel and malt sweetness. Near midway the sweet malts elbow into the flavor but eventually succumb to increasing pine and grapefruit hop bitterness.Very tasty brew.
