Deep golden color. Citrus and piney hop aromas. Assertive malt backbone supporting the overwhelming bitterness. Dry hopped in the fermenter with four types of hops giving an explosive hop aroma. Previously known as 21A-IPA.

Bottle. The pour was a clear medium golden amber with an average sized (1-2 finger) white fluffy head that diminished down to a few puddles and a large collar of residue, creating some excellent sheeting of sticky lacing. The aroma was of a straw like malt, floral and grassy hops and a moldy yeast with notes of caramel and citrus (grapefruit and orange peel). The taste was lightly bitter, mildly malty and a tad acidic with a hint of caramel from the start and then became very hoppy with a strong citrus peel bitterness and a decent alcohol presence towards the end. The flavor lingered for a decent while being of a bitter hoppy citrus taste. Mouthfeel was a few steps beyond light in body with a dry oily texture and a nice lively carbonation. Overall a brew with a good balance of bitterness and maltiness with a great hoppy citrus feel...

Testing out different canned IPAs. I like this, but it’s no standout, especially in the crowded, competitive style

From the tap at the 21st Amendment brewpub. Pours a clear golden apple juice with a thin white head. Nose is floral hops with lots of tropical fruit notes. In the mouth it’s citrus, grapefruit and a touch of mango with a medium malt backbone. Light malt sweetness. The pine bitterness lingers for a long time but is rather mellow. Well balanced and easily drinkable IPA!

Can. This is probably the third six pack that I’ve had in the last 6 months and I can conclude that I dont like it. It always tastes sour and like pears. Date on the bottom f the can says best by 1/21/15 so it’s not skunked. Just mediocre at best.

Fantastic. Dry, balanced, aromatic, light to medium in body; bright, clear, and .....well ...... just amazing. A good-ol’-fashioned very sessionable non-session West Coast IPA.

12 oz can. Aroma: malty and citrusy, with hints of bread and barnyard. Taste: sweet and creamy; finishes slightly bitter. Amazing malt/hop balance.

Tap at SFO. Pine resiny hop aroma with hints of grapefruit citrus. Pours golden colored with about one finger of white head and some lacing. Starts with a little bit of caramel malt balanced with the piney hop flavors. Finishes dry with good grapefruit hop citrus that sticks to the palate. Nice, well-balanced refreshing ipa.

Nectar of the gods! Happy to have found this at McCaffrey’s in West Windsor. Once you get over the craft in cans thing you’ll find this to be a tasty IPA.

Can from Lazy Dog in Warner Robins with a best by 2/14/15 date, so no clue when it was canned. Poured on 12/1/14. Pours hazy golden orange with a huge fluffy white head. Sweet malty aroma, orange peel, lightly floral hop notes, smells like it may be on the older side but still pleasant. Flavor is a big malty mess, some vague hay notes, and a dirty finish. Heavier syrupy body with low plus carbonation. Just going to assume this is on the older side. Will have to try again fresh some time.
