JMFG (1140), Florida, USA Aug 15, 2008 On tap @ 21st Amendment. Slightly cloudy amber with a moderately thick light tan head. Aroma is very sweet and floral and hints at the strength without being overly alcoholic. Crushed flowers and citrus. Real fruity flavor - a lot of peppery hops, dried apricots, sweet malts. Delayed grapefruit rind finish. Strong but easy drinking. SoLan (1187), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 28, 2008 Dark gold and a small, dense, off white head. Huge grassy, skunky, floral, spicy, resinous hops. Solid malt backbone and a bit of alcohol. Full body, balanced carbonation, a bit syrupy. Dry, bitter finish keeps it drinkable. Very nice. BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Apr 18, 2008 ABBF ’08 - I found this to be quite enjoyable, a little more on the lighter and balanced side for the style. There is a certain about of earthiness here that I have also not found in a lot of other takes on this style, but a very fresh hop aroma and flavor. Caramel cookie dough body, with lots of citrus and pine notes. Very enjoyable. pinkzambia (884), Boise, Idaho, USA Mar 11, 2008 Tap: Clear dark gold with a nice, tight white head. The aroma is fresh florals and earthy notes. The taste is hoppy, grassy, alcohol and something musty, like moist silage. The feel is smooth but not as syrupy as most 2IPA’s. ratman197 (2278), Arvada, Colorado, USA Feb 16, 2008 On tap @ Bistro 8th Annual DIPA Fest poured a clear golden amber with a lasting white head. Aromas of carmel, light citrus and light pine. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of light carmel and light citrus with a crisp lightly bitter finish. Tasted more like a session pale ale to me.
