2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark brown coloured body with a muddy red glow and a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, spices and a bit of cardboard with a touch of sugars. Medium-bodied; Assertive spicey and herbal flavour with a definite pungent malty and roastty note that doesnít seem great. Aftertaste shows a lot of spice and honey with some pungent malt notes. Overall, an okay beer, but an interesting take on the season - still nice to try, since the can is cool. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from a six pack from Draegerís Blackhawk in Danville, California on 18-March-2011 sampled in Danville, California.

Can, hell of a better job on the artwork then the contants. Pours bruin body with a sparse off white head with bubbly lacing. Malty boring body with a bland aroma. A hint of spice, not idíd. A subtle tin note just ruined the enjoyment.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can picked up at Cellarís Roseville. Pours a deep red-brown, slightly murky with a persistent offwhite head. Nose is lightly tart with cherries and cinnamon dominating. Some light caramel comes through as well as a hint of nutmeg. On taste, more of the tart cherry, some tinny notes and robust English malt. A bit of roast comes through in the finish as well. Nice level of bitterness and some light iced tea notes as well from the hops. Alright.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Serving: 12 oz. can from State Line Liquors.
It pours a clear, dark brown with a large, foamy, light tan head. Good head retention. The nose is heavy with spice, particularly nutmeg. The flavor is an odd and overpowering mix of of spices, caramel malt, a slight sourness, and a vegetal note. This thing is a mess. Medium bodied with average carbonation leading to a rather nasty, spiced finish. Pass on this mess of a brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz can. Pours a brownish dark ruby red with a one inch tan head that fades slowly. Aroma is spicy with somewhat of a musty note along with nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, and caramel. Taste has spices and nutmeg upfront quickly followed by cinnamon in the middle with some sweet bready malt on the backend. There is also a mild sour funkness lingering underneath. Creamy full body with moderate carbonation.

wow, what a miss! for such an otherwise stellar brewer like 21st amendment, this is awful. I could have made a better beer in my basement with bath water and carrots. smells like pureed vegetables and brown sugar. really not a good one and i suppose its so much worse because 21st is usually great. oh well.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark brown with a tan head. Smells of nutmeg, nutty, chocolate, caramel, earthy. Tastes semi sweet and spicy with some fruity elements and some tea like elements on the finish. Clunk, uh oh looks like we have a problem. Etc, etc...

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is a decent spiced brew, nice and strong for those cold winter months. Itís cloudy brown read w/ a creamy off-white head. The nose is caramel malts, a bit of oxidative nuttiness and some warm spice. Taste is slightly tart which adds a cherry-like character to the subtle spicing. Medium bodied, which is nice, but the carbonation lacks something in the way of creaminess which makes this come off a little watery. Something about this seems Belgian, almost like a sour brown or something. I am not sure if thatís intentional but it works well enough.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
I have liked some 21st stuff very much before but this was not for me. Had a six pack of this and kept trying it on different nights but really just did not do it for me. OK looking brown semi clear beer with a 2 finger head. The aroma is a little copper and bark and malt. Getting very little int he way of spice. The taste is a little toffee but also a bit sour. Would have made a better plain brown ale. Not one to seek out.
