COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like FDR’s Depression-Era Radio Addresses, which were like a kick in the butt and a hug at the same time, our Fireside Chat is a subtle twist on the traditional seasonal brew. We begin with a rich, dark, English-style ale and then we improvise with spices until we know we have a beer worth sharing with the nation. Celebrating the right to be original.

Pours a deep amber color with a full head. Rich, slightly bitter and spicy - I detected some cinnamon, chocolate, and nutmeg flavor. Bonus point for the cool packaging - loved the design on the can.

On tap. Must have been awhile ago since I don’t remember it and it must not have stuck out as amazing or my rating System would be better.

On tap at Bradley's Food and Beverage in Bethesda, MD. Hazy. Dark brown with a khaki head and excellent lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel and roasted malt, dried dark fruit, cloves and nutmeg. Taste of dark fruit, sweet caramel and roasted malt, toffee cloves and nutmeg. Medium body and medium carbonation. Nothing fancy here, but pleasant enough if you are in the mood for a sweet beer. I like that the spices sit back and let the malt and dark fruit dominate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Roasted malty spice infused dark brown winter seasonal ale. Nutmeg and clove dominant and decent but not but a one timer just to try something different. Average and worth a try to warm you up a bit during the cold winter.

On tap at a Concord beer festival. Dark brown pour. Very fruity and a little spicy. Interesting.

Clear, deep red pour with a single finger, slightly tan head. Aroma is a little funky, almost acidic. Chestnuts come to mind. Medium mouth. Taste is a little nutty, hints of pine as well. Weird alcohol bite in this. Spices in this are just odd. Pumpkin pie starts to creep in. Not a big fan of this one.

Canned from Woodland CA. Nose is roasty. Sort of like a strong brown. Some decent spiciness in a fairly roasty beer with malt dominant.

[Can (12oz)] Pours a dark golden-amber with a large lasting frothy tan head. A good amount of lacing on the glass. Aroma of spices first followed by a hint of vegetal notes, caramel malt, dark fruit and some light sugar. Flavour follows the aroma and has a spicy, lightly harsh finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Good, not great -- I liked it enough.

Sample. Dark brown color with thick off head white. Spice and dark fruit aroma. Dark fruit taste, feels like a Belgian beer.
