Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, bitter chocolate and a hint of vanilla . Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, coffee and cocoa with a lingering dry bitter finish.

Fairly light color even for a porter. Aroma is chocolate, PNW hops, caramel, some roast and coffee. Medium to light body, quite sweet. While the description might sound promising, the beer itself lacks refinement. Ramenen (339), San Salvador, El Salvador Apr 9, 2008 Drank it on tap at the brewery. Pours dark brown/amber color. Smokey aroma, very ashy, like smoking a cigar, but light bodied. Delirium (430), Santa Cruz, California, USA Apr 8, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Pours black with brown highlights and a small off-white head. Aroma is light roasted malt, with some rich chocolate notes. Flavor is mainly roasted malt, mostly rich but a little ashy in places, with a hint of hops in the finish. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Middle-of-the-road, but good. BillKismet (1407), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 26, 2008 Black-molasses with evanescent head. Sharp charcoal black patent burnt nose. Sharp roast flavor with light, burnt/smoky character and a hint of chocolate. A solid, roasty, lightly smoky porter that finishes moderately dry.
