COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The story starts in 1999 when Shaun O’Sullivan walked into my Seattle pub. He’d heard about my massive pumpkin fest and wanted to get together and brew a pumpkin beer like no other: a Baltic-style Porter brewed with pumpkin, caraway and cinnamon. In a light colored can.

Light retention with no lacing. Smells of chocolate, caramel, roasted malts and cinnamon. Tastes of pumpkin, roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and spices. Semi-bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not too bad. Tastes like a sweet porter with pumpkin spices... Not anything extremely crazy.

tastes like a big old pumpkin muffin, bready and winter spice. Some of the porter roast grains shine through, and a hint of alcohol warmth make this a nice fall/winter quaff. Dark bodied in color, medium weight mouth feel, fairly slick and oily. Small beige head caps this off.

Pours a solid black with a tan head and lacing. It has a nice aroma of cinnamon, pumpkin, and coriander. The flavor is spices up front with a pumpkin and spice backbone and a sweet finish over a medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can shared with a friend. Pours dark black with tan head. Aroma of malts and spices. Taste of coffee, nutmeg, and clove. Not much of a pumpkin flavor at all. Dry finish. Very good.

Can pour, almost opaque black body, head like walnut shells, fades to a skiff. Smells of toast, malt, caramel, cinnamon, raisin. Taste is raisin, sour cherry, pumpkin pie. Palate is rich, smooth, carbonation subdued. Finish is a bit sweet, with spice, but not cloying at all.

Rather disappointing pumpkin porter. Too much pumpkin, not enough other complexity.

10/27/2014: He Said Baltic Porter Lager brewed with pumpkin and spices... Amazing aroma of gingerbread, molasses, and caramelized pumpkin. Black brown color and opaque with a lasting, frothy tan head. Roasted pumpkin, chocolate malt, black patent and aome soft cinammon and nutmeg spice. Medium to medium full body, quite smooth and calm. Again, I would have liked more pumpkin, but this is a great beer. I like it quite a bit. 12 fl. oz. can.

Can. Black pour with tan head. Spices, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and roasted aromas. Mostly porter malty and roasted flavors, touch of spice and pumpkin. Dry finish.
