COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The story starts in 2010 when Dick Cantwell walked into our San Francisco pub. We’d heard about his little pumpkin fest and wanted to get together to brew a pumpkin beer like no other: a Belgian-style Tripel brewed with pumpkin, galangal and terragon. In a dark colored can.

12 Fl. Oz. Can. Poured clear, golden with a nice white head and some lacing on the glass. Aroma of pumpkin and spice (nutmeg and cinnamon), some fruit in there too. Taste is a bit malty but also fruit, pumpkin and spices. Nice interesting beer, glad I picked a case.

At Dorothy lane market. Pours foamy large head with a pale cloudy yellow color. Very mild spice taste for a triple. The spice lingers long after swallowing. Coriander cloves. I don't taste the pumpkin in the description. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

A chance to try a new Elysian beer without trading or traveling to the West Coast does not come along too often. When I noticed this during a shopping run I figured a single would not break the bank. While not the greatest Belgian tripel it was worth about the $2.99 that I paid. I would recommend not paying much more yourself.

Aroma / Appearance - A semitransparent golden base bubbles with the typical hue of a tripel made to style. Lively carbonation and sheets of short lived head add some character. Apple cider, nutmeg, and cinnamon float up from the glass like cotton candy dipped in pumpkin puree.

Flavor / Palate - Sticky sweet pumpkin accompanies caramel and cider. A dry warm transition leads to a mead like finish that unfolds a wave of booziness over the throat. This collaboration might work better with a different base. As a Belgian it just feels confusing as the earthy squash aspects do not meld with the dessert sweetness of the rest.

The lighter side of the He Said series, but not necessarily the better side. Sweet notes of Tripel spices and pumpkin gourd. Spicey finish with hints of apple malt. Pretty good.

Candy. Short, sweet, not long on the memory. Slight pumpkin and more on the other spices. Would not search this one out. It meets the requirements for a triple with other spices. Very low on the pumpkin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear gold with a short white head. It has a nice aroma of biscuit, cinnamon, and some coriander. The flavor is yeast and spices up front, with a slightly spicy backbone and dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(tap) clear bright yellow amber colour with a small white head; aroma starts floral, vegetable, then lilies; sweet flavour developing into a long medium bitter finish; interesting

On tap at Martin’s West in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is light straw, hay, spicy yeasts. Taste is crisp, biscuity, dry straw... Mild flavors and some spice but was expecting more of the galangal and tarragon. Nothing distinct about this one.

Love this blend of pumpkin, nutmeg and normal triple essences. Lots of spice in the aroma. Initial foamy head subsides rapidly. Taste comes alive with lots of butter, coriander, floral notes. Velvety smooth, nice spicy finish.
