Clear golden coloured body with an orange glow and a thin white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, malt, metal and a bit of watermelons - not much. Light-bodied; Metallic wheatie flavour with some yeast and watermelon flavours coming through. Aftertaste has some fake wheat, watermelon and a bit of metal. Overall, not such a special beer - good for cutting the grass with but not much more than that - pretty watery. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from 21st Amendment Brewpub in San Francisco, California on 21-March-2009, sampled on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on the Fourth of July 2009.

on tap at 21A. POurs a hazy gold with a pink hue. Nose is fresh watermelon and some biscuity grain. Flavor is a refreshing sweet malt, slight yeastiness and a subtle watermelon flavor. Super refreshing. I have had this from the can and on draft and draft is MUCH better. Very enjoyable beer. I could knock back a 6 pack a the beach easy.

On tap at RnH (Midtown, NYC): Pours light, hazy yellow and tastes of watermelon, banana, and crisp bread. Not a favorite and easily forgetable. Disappointed, really. This beer’s just too watered down to be appreciated. #045 on 03072009, DG.

Can. Another watermelon flavored beer. Golden pour with little head. Aroma is lightly with hints of watermelon. Flavor is nice not superficially watermelon flavored like a warhead, had nice sour notes, and refreshing aftertaste. Could be a nice session beer.

[Draft @ Drafting Room Exton] Poured a hazy golden color with a small white head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of toast, toffee, vanilla, and subtle watermelon. Taste was sweeter watermelon, citrus fruits, light vanilla, and toffee with a semi-dry finish.

Can (box of cans) from Canal’s in Lawrenceville, NJ. Honestly, I picked this up for the novelty of it and didn’t expect a whole lot but was pleasantly surprised. Pours a mildly hazy goldenrod with a short white head. Aroma of hay, yeast and summer fruit. Watermelon hits you up front paired with a mildly sour yeast note but the flavor mellows and balances nicely after the first few sips. Pleasingly malty with a nice fruity compliment. Smooth texture and a crisp finish. Very refreshing and a solid addition to the patio this summer. Still probably not for everyone but worth a taste - and no seeds!

Can... Poured a hazy orange with a white head. Wheats and melon on the nose. Nice crisp and refreshing palate that made this beer a joy to drink quickly. Not worst fruit beer out there. Well-balanced between the wheat and grains and the fruity, summery melon. Glad to have 21st Amendment up here in Portland.

Growler from St. James Beverage. Pours a hazy deep yellow with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, clove, and a slight sweetness. No watermelon in the aroma really. Flavor of sweet watermelon, kind of like a watermelon sno-cone or Baskin Robbins watermelon ice-cream with a wheat malt finish. Very nice. Not artificial tasting either, which can be common in these flavored wheat beers. Refreshing and super easy to drink. I was pleasantly surprised by this; why the low ratings???
