Can, courtesy of GodOfThunder. A hazy, light golden colored body shows a thin, swirly head with a bubbly, off-white edge. A soapy wash of lace mostly rejoins the body, a scant few spots remaining behind. Aromas include cereal grains, wheat, glazed biscuit, and hints of watermelon rind and green apple. The flavor, too, shows wheat as the prominent component, while light notes of caramel lend sweetness and traces of watermelon add a unique, fruity twist. Moderate in both body and carbonation, this on is an easy drinker. I guess I lucked out and didn’t get the diacetyl bomb that everyone else got. Decent tailgating brew, but don’t expect to be blown away with watermelon, as its infusion is very subtle.

Pours a hazy dark gold with a thin white head that fizzes away quickly. No lacing at all. Aroma is an explosion of diacetyl. Huge butter note with a wisp of watermelon. Almost intolerable. Flavor is better in that the watermelon and wheat flavors come through, but there’s still a lot of that gross mealy butterscotch. Mouthfeel is a little sticky for what ought to be a refreshing summer beer. Drinkability is not good because of how easy it is to get sick of this diacetyl bomb. This beer needs a reformulation.

Can courtesy of Iowaherkeye. Pours a cloudy yellow with zero head, sans for a ring around the glass. Nose is malt, wheat and light watermelon. Taste is sweet wheat and malt upfront from some watermelon in the finish. Medium mouth feel. Interesting beer, there’s definitely a watermelon flavor, though it comes off a bit sour that the real thing. Thanks for sending this Joey!

Foggy gold/amber with a thick off white head. Aroma is very wheaty, light watermelon and that’s about it. Taste is a lightly tart watermelon, wheat, lightly watery, and a very light maltiness.

Pour is redish gold with a large fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet with not much else. Flavor is again not much else. I guess there is some watermelon in there but im not sure watermelon has enough of a flavor it self to be added to beer. Watermelon basicaly just tastes like water to begin with. This is not something i need again. Its like they dropped a watermelon jolly rancher in a beer and let it disolve.

Odd appearance, but I guess it makes seance. The smell is not telling of the taste and is minimal. Taste is of a better than average hefe with a tinge of metal and a huge flavor or watermelon rind. Very interesting, and I applaud 21st amendment branching out and trying new things, but its not one of my favorite beers. I imagined that the scores on this will be a bit polarized but I actually will put my score right in the middle.

12 oz. can - thanks to riversideak i think; cloudy yellow, minor lacing; taste like a sour apple jolly ranger; watermelon is there, but kind of an odd mix with the wheat; interesting concept, but not too enjoyable

Very cloudy pale golden in color with a thick white head. Sweet mild watermelon aroma. The flavor reminds me of Jolly Ranchers and beer, very strong watermelon with a little wheat.
