Can [12oz] shared with and courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy gold with lots of floaties and an average size diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of wheat with light sour notes, peaches, a hint of watermelon and lots of grain. Flavour has more watermelon then aroma suggests along with pale malt and a light bitterness. Light bodied. Not very good, just O.K.

Can courtesy of bvc. A large, pearl white head on top of a hazy yellow body. Pretty subdued nose, hints of the advertised watermelon, with mostly the wheat and cereal. Flavor is crisp, jolly rnacher watermelon (was hoping for more of a ’true’ fresh watermelon flavor here), nicely balanced by the straw/wheat character and just a hint of citrus. Overall, very drinkable and an interesting take. Thanks, Brandon.

GABF 2009. Pours clear light yellow with a small, fizzy white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, straw, cereal, grain), average hop (flowers, grass), average yeast (dough) with notes of watermelon. Light bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. Refreshing.

Particularly nice, given the 100+ degree day on which I drank it, and for the fact that the watermelon flavor was subtle rather than cloying.

Hazy straw body with a substantial white head. Grainy wheat malt prominent in the medium bodied creamy drink. The watermelon is very noticeable with a berry-like fruit presence, lacking sweet or tart character. I think the watermelon amplifies the grainy maltiness with that residual presence watermelon tends to leave in the mouth. Interesting drink but I would be suspicious of anyone who thought it a good idea to get a six pack of this.

GABF 2009: Very light beer but very nice and refreshing. Well made, too. Balanced, with a clean finish. Watermelon flavor was really mild but it had a really nice watermelon aroma. Surprisingly enjoyable, and it would make a great summer thirst quencher.

Brought back by my buddy from out west: Pours a bright cloudy yellow colour with a fairly large white head. Immediately im smelling that watermelon wheat. Some raspberries but mainly watermolen. Mouthfeel is very creamy and well carbonated, but it’s hard to get over that watermelon jolly rancher sweetness. It’s a bit too much for my taste.
