The taste was very yeasty at first but did finish with a good watermelony taste. With each sip my palate adjusted to the beer and i ended up enjoying it by the end of the can. Defiantly worth a try if you find this. eaglefan538 (2360), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Nov 1, 2009 Can from SL. I think I’d choose hell if it was between it and this beer. Brutal. And, I’m fairly tolerant to fond of some fruit beers. Pour was a hazy straw gold color with a decent sized head and active sedimentation (protein?). The aroma was wheaty and watermelon. The flavor was sour watermelons, some faint lemongrass, caramel, wheat grains. The mouthfeel was carbonated and full bodied. Man, this was among the worst furit beers I’ve ever had, intolerable, drain poured. bitbucket (2031), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 29, 2009 Can. Pours cloudy gold with a thin white head. Aroma of honey and watermelon. Light body, watery texture with medium carbonation. Honey wheat taste, then the watermelon shows up. Crisp finish. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 26, 2009 12 oz can. Pours a hazy dark gold body with a small fizzy white head. Nice clean wheat nose with just a light watermelon accent. The flavor makes this more of a Wheat Beer more than a Fruit Beer. The watermelon does taste natural, it’s just pretty light. Nice yeasty yet clean flavor. Medium bodied and soft textured with nice light fizzy carbonation. Pretty nice beer, I’d drink this a lot in the summer if it were localy available. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Serving: Draft.
Appearance: Light, cloudy gold color with small bits of flotsam in it. Small white head that fades fairly quickly.
Aroma: Light nose with notes of grain and watermelon.
Flavor: Watery watermelon rind, some grain, sweet malt. Rather unsavory stuff.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a light mouthfeel and short finish.
Overall: I had this at the GABF in 2008 and didn’t think it was nearly this bad. It was way light in the flavor department this time around. blankboy (3203), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 22, 2009 Can [12oz] shared with and courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy gold with lots of floaties and an average size diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of wheat with light sour notes, peaches, a hint of watermelon and lots of grain. Flavour has more watermelon then aroma suggests along with pale malt and a light bitterness. Light bodied. Not very good, just O.K. alagnak (335), Littleton, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Can courtesy of bvc. A large, pearl white head on top of a hazy yellow body. Pretty subdued nose, hints of the advertised watermelon, with mostly the wheat and cereal. Flavor is crisp, jolly rnacher watermelon (was hoping for more of a ’true’ fresh watermelon flavor here), nicely balanced by the straw/wheat character and just a hint of citrus. Overall, very drinkable and an interesting take. Thanks, Brandon. BeerandBlues2 (3203), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 19, 2009 GABF 2009. Pours clear light yellow with a small, fizzy white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, straw, cereal, grain), average hop (flowers, grass), average yeast (dough) with notes of watermelon. Light bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. Refreshing.
