Aroma of wheat, watermelon, and citrus. When the beer hits the tip of my tongue I get a hint of watermelon that disapears almost intantly and lends way to citrus and wheat. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and slightly tart finish. Good. Snojerk321 (1945), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 9, 2008 Can from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a hazed golden color, head was big, white and fluffy, then dissipated to a small ring. Nose was weak with light hints of watermelon and yeast, and a bit sour. Flavor was also of weak melon and a bit funky, lingered on the pallet for a bit. ZazuH (42), Brentwood, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Aug 8, 2008 Can. Straw and cloudy; frothy head quickly diminishing. Nose is cider and wheat. Tastes of sour/unripe watermelon finishing dry w/ mild wheat. Body is light and smooth. Actually refreshing. Not a bad beer, but did not deliver the watermelon flavor I anticipated. marcus (1853), Sacramento, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 8, 2008 This yellow beer poured from a can with a fluffy white head and a slightly acidic aroma (oops, foam in my nose). I don’t think watermelon works very well in beer - it’s sour and a bit skunky. Otherwise, not a bad light beer. yespr (12020), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Can. Pours hazy yellow with a lacing white head. Mild spiced fruity aroma seems a bit off. Watermelon fruity base flavour with a light wheaty texure yet not really wheaty flavoured. Fruity lingering finish. Thin flavour and body. pepperford (115), robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 4, 2008 from the Oregon Brewers Fest. I had a bit too much rind bitterness for me. A good novelty concept. DaSilky1 (1972), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2008 Hazed organish-yellow with a thin halo of suds atop. nose was interestingly rind-like in a unsweet watermelon kind of way. Flavors were very unique as i guess the watermelon really takes this beer to a whole other dimension. Unfortunately, i think it needed a little sweetness to balance things out as it kind of got vegital...but i like the wierdness here for the most part, and i like cans. grandridge (222), Port Clinton, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Pours cloudy gold with a head that vanishes fast. Aroma is slightly sweet with wheat. I can taste the watermelon. This is a strange combination of wheat and slight sweetness. It’s not New Glarus but I don’t think it deserves only a 27. I’ve had much worse beers rated higher than this.
