zvikar (413), Tel-Aviv, Israel Jul 28, 2009 From can, thanks David for sharing this one, yellowish color with small white head, aroma melting sugar, vanilla and melon, dry untasty flavor, watery with low sweetness and bad acids finish is bitter and unpleasant. Blaaa... pineypower (1076), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA Jul 27, 2009 Thanks to Dmac. Pours out a cloudy light golden color with a small white head. Aroma is of wheat malts, some yeast and a faint watermelon sweetness. A bit watery on the mouthfeel, slight watermelon flavor but it gets lost in the background among the typical wheat flavors. Good on a hot summer day like when I drank it, but I couldn’t see putting down more than 1 or 2. ditmier (1021), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 27, 2009 2009 Can - Thanks BuckeyeBoy! - Pours lt opaque yellow with a medium white head...aroma is a bit musty, a bit doughy, with I guess some fruit as well...flavour was much nicer, yeasty with heavy carbonation and some nice natural tasting melon...very refreshing, probably would drink this one again, but didn’t think it was half bad... cprochak (388), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2009 On tap at Henry’s taproom in Portland on 6/26/09. Typical bread and yeasty notes, but sweet cotton candy and watermelon aroma, too. Very strange and complex beer. I admire the inginuity, but this is not a very drinkable beer. BillKismet (1899), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 26, 2009 Bronze body, ok head. Lighly hopped aroma with mild wheatiness, but it is absent any trace of watermelon. The flavor, however; starts with a well-stated warmelon and jolly rancher underpinning to a roughly wheaty body with a sour-bitter finish. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 26, 2009 can, orange reddish color with pool water, watermelon aroma, flavors of prickly pear, cantaloupe, watermelon, red gummy bears, good summer beer beerbill (1919), Laurel, New York, USA Jul 25, 2009 12 oz. can. Pours a hazy pale gold with a moderate white head. Mild aroma of wheat along with a bit of watermelon, although I’m not sure that I would have recognized it as watermelon without reading the can. The flavor is again wheat and watermelon, although the watermelon is more of a presence in the flavor than the aroma and easily identified. Thin, watery body. I thought watermelon was a great idea for a beer, but I was expecting more watermelon than what I got in this beer. dmac (1420), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Jul 23, 2009 12 oz can. Pours a hazy yellow gold with an ample bubbly bright white head and a few floating pieces which look like parts of watermelon. Aroma is sweet and very fruity reminds me more of a mango or papaya then watermelon. Flavor is like a light macro beer with some added fruit notes. Not muc noticable wheat in either the aroma or the flavor. Body is thin and carbonation seems to be forced more like a seltzer then a craft beer. Funny at an average score of 2.82, when I rated it anyway, this seems overrated.
