Can (box of cans) from Canal’s in Lawrenceville, NJ. Honestly, I picked this up for the novelty of it and didn’t expect a whole lot but was pleasantly surprised. Pours a mildly hazy goldenrod with a short white head. Aroma of hay, yeast and summer fruit. Watermelon hits you up front paired with a mildly sour yeast note but the flavor mellows and balances nicely after the first few sips. Pleasingly malty with a nice fruity compliment. Smooth texture and a crisp finish. Very refreshing and a solid addition to the patio this summer. Still probably not for everyone but worth a taste - and no seeds!

12oz can
Appearance: Hazy straw/yellow with a small white head
Aroma: Wheat and Watermelon
Taste: Yeast, wheat and watermelon
Kinda disappointed in this beer. I really like 21A beers and have heard rave revues from Shaun and TBN. I wonder if I just got a old can. This was the only can in the cooler at the store. Like others have said, it would probably taste better in the summer on a hot day instead of winter.

brought this can to Paul’s tasting. Sort of an interesting combination that works ok, but not great. Watermelon is nice and refreshing but also quite grainy. Finishes a bit metallic. This would probably taste better in the summer.

Picked up a single 12-oz can at Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, MN. Pours a clear golden straw colored brew with an average white head that has some nice retention. Aroma of toasted golden grain malt, some sweet mellon, floral hops and a touch of green weeds. Taste is light bodied, crisp, flavors of light golden grain, mellon juice, a hint of wheat and some light yeast. Finish is semi-sweet, light crisp with no bitterness and a very faint watermelon aftertaste flavor. A summer fruit session. Probably.

Can at Paul’s tasting. Pours a lightly hazy golden yellow without much of a head. Faint watermelon aroma, wheat and graininess. Light watermelon flavor that is overpowered by an increasing grain flavor that takes over the finish with bitter and metallic grain characteristics.

Love beer, love watermelon but wasn’t sure the two would go good together. Beer poured gold color with minimal head. Aroma of wheat and watermelon. Flavor was a good wheat beer with watermelon flavor that you get at the end. I liked it because it wasn’t too sweet and was a good wheat beer.

Can:   Pale straw, somewhat cloudy, thin sudsy white head, little to no lacing.   Corny nose, very mealy, not much watermelon at all.   Wheaty, but also mealy and cardboardish.   This one was a let down.   Not very flavorful/fruity, nor does the Wheat part really satisfy.   Too light and unflavorful.

21st Amendment seems so proud of this beer, I hope that they improve the recipe in the future. Still, I can’t hate on this beer, it is very drinkable, and at least they use actual watermelon, not just flavors or extracts. Pours golden and cloudy with a thin white head. Aroma is a bit musty/yeasty, no fruit aroma that I can make out. Flavor is moderately bitter, and the watermelon flavor appears in the finish. Very thirst quenching, but could be better.

Can from Whole Foods (Union Square). Slightly red body with medium head. Fruity, strawberry nose. Very watery taste with slight taste of candied watermelon. Not very pleasant. A drain pour, I’m afraid.
