It has a slightly sour wheat aroma, but the flavor has lots of real watermelon. The underlying wheat beer is still noticeable behind the watermelon. This beer finishes dry. Overall it is freshing and very good for the style. It is probably the biggest surprise of the day since I wasn’t really sure what to expect...

Aroma has plenty of yeast esters that create a banana-like aroma. I also get a little citrus lemon and the watermelon aroma is also delicately intertwined. A little bit sweet, and a little bit sour. This is a complex and interesting aroma. Moderately hazy golden body with a small, pretty quickly dissipating white head. Starts a bit acidic and rather astringent. There is an underlying wheat body, but this is very difficult to find. It comes through late after the sour, astringent, acidic watermelon flavors dissipate. I think the watermelon flavor is a bit too strong initially. Creative. blutt59 (2186), Dallas, Texas, USA

Poured a hazy blond body with a medium whit ehead. Possessed a healthy dose of fresh watermelon juice—no flavor additives. To be exact, each batch makes use of 400 pounds of pressed juice giving the beer an aroma and flavor of its namesake. The beer is light, smooth, and slightly dry (5.5% ABV, 17 IBUs). Biscuity light nose. Very sessionable. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 9, 2008 Can from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a hazed golden color, head was big, white and fluffy, then dissipated to a small ring. Nose was weak with light hints of watermelon and yeast, and a bit sour. Flavor was also of weak melon and a bit funky, lingered on the pallet for a bit.
