A classic American wheat beer using fresh watermelon. Straw-colored and refreshing with a kiss of watermelon aroma and flavor.

Smells heavily of watermelon with a hint of wheat beer. Pours hazy blonde with minimal white head. Taste is pretty bland, with a non overpowering watermelon finish.

Draft at the brewery tap, San Leandro. Hazed pale yellow / straw coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is light grains, watermelon, flavourings, wheat , doughy. Flavour is composed of thin light grains, peach and watermelon flavorings. Palate is thin and grainy, highish carbonation. Meh.

Turbid dandelion gold hue. Tart, vibrant watermelon nose. Light and refreshing, with noticeable wheat and the perfect subtle touch of sweet watermelon juice. Rather than tasting artificial, this tastes to me like fresh muddled watermelon. So good on this hot day. Medium-light body, with moderate massaging carbonation and matching fizziness. Crisp and so very drinkable. Maybe the perfect summer beer. Light and refreshing, with a subtle fruit flavor that reminds of Fourth of July picnics.

Can at Phoenix hotel, San Francisco. Hazy golden colour, white foamy head. Indeed, watermelon and light bodied malt base. Low carbonation.

I was pleased to find that this beer does indeed taste like watermelon, and not something with artificial "watermelon flavor" added for the sake of making it sweeter and more appealing, as happens with candy since watermelon itself is so boring. It’s light in body and in color, and it’s easy to drink. I’d recommend it to anyone who asked about it.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to separate the beer from the experience. Thinking of Hell or High Watermelon takes me back to 21st Amendment. The utilitarian decor. The Giants fans filling the space, each holding a glass of this stuff with wedge of melon inside. Sadly, the beer itself is less memorable for me. Wheat malt with a hint of fresh melon. Can’t fault it on how refreshing it is, though. Lively, sweet, and smooth. And like all of the artwork by 21st Amendment, Hell or High Watermelon’s art provides a cartoonish glimpse at Americana. It’s not one I love, but one-of-a-kind nonetheless.

Starts off smelling like a regular ale from the can. Then in the glass the watermelon comes through a bit. Then in the taste it really comes through, but in a natural way, not a Jolly Roger watermelon candy way. Hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. The body is thin as it should be which makes this very refreshing. A bit of a sour note at the end and lasting watermelon freshness. Great lawnmower beer.

Hey at least it doesn't taste like a jolly rancher. Real watermelon flavor is not easy to come by. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft and 12 oz can many times. Light golden with a big white head. Nose is watermelon and soda crackers. Flavor is crisp, slightly tart watermelon. But still Very good refreshing fruit beer but I wish they would funk some up and do a Watermelon Funk that Vinnie from Russian River did in 2006.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. Aroma- nice watermelon scent, not overpowering. Appearance- A clear golden yellow with a small white head. Taste- I really enjoyed the flavor of wheat and watermelon. An excellent summer beer.

12 oz can (gift) - The watermelon is there on the finish, good times on a hot day, delivers as described.
