A classic American wheat beer using fresh watermelon. Straw-colored and refreshing with a kiss of watermelon aroma and flavor.

I'm not big on gimmicky beers, but after a good combination of a beautiful summer day and a long day of work, this is pretty damn refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The appearance was a hazy yellowed body with what looks like fruit particles floating around and has a one finger frothy-like foamy head that dies within less than thirty seconds. The lacing tries to cling but slides and is pretty sporadic all over the place. The smell had some wheat and watermelon up front, some pineapple, light lemon and strawberry in the background coming through in a sweet candy-like expression, slightly herbal as well. The taste was sweet and bready through the previously mentioned fruits; watermelon/wheat aftertaste, watery sticky finish. On the palate, it sat at/about a light and was sessionable. Carbonation is good for the style as thereís a nice refreshing sort of quality to probably want someone to pound these on a hot day for me, not bad. Overall, with all of the fruit that I get in this beer, I can definitely see a very nice refreshing aspect to it that would be nice on a hot summerís day but for me, there could be just a tad too much, basically an average fruit beer to me.

Watermelonís ok but I have yet to try a watermelon beer that ends up working. Finishes with light sweetness. Tap at DC Beer festival.

Can. Pale, hazy body with a finger of white head. Smells like dominant of malts with a slight watermelon Jolly Rancher. Tastes like malt, watermelon, and wheat. Light palate. A good summer beer but not a perfect beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Lazy Dog. Pours a hazy sickly yellow with a ring of cream colored head. Aroma is slightly weak, slight fruit. Taste is heavy on the watermelon but not much else.

A- Pours a cloudy orange hue with a thin, off white head that fades quickly. S- lots of wheat and watermelon. T- Watermelon all the way through with a bready, wheat base that balanced out the watermelon well. M- Medium bodied with decent carbonation. D- Not something iíd drink all the time but I think it is definitely an underrated beer.

Batch 1 canned and draughts and onwards, most recently 2012
Medium-sized white head is quick to recede to cover. Pineapple juice colored yellow body has a slight haziness to it and there is plentiful, somewhat fizzy carbonation.
Watermelon in the nose, not surprisingly, is restrained on its candy/syrup/sweetness level, which is appreciated. Slight touch of dry, sourish wheat backs it up, with a fair amount of vanilla. Medium strength to the aroma and besides the simplicity, thereís really nothing to complain about (nor can you really complain about the simplicity, this is just a summer quencher).
Round and juicy in the mouth, with the watermelon being moderately sweet, but not overly syrupy. No sweeter than watermelon juice would be (and actually quite a bit less so, being that this is fermented). Light chewiness from the wheat, fizzy carbonation, medium-light body. Very simplistic sugariness/watermelon flavor, but itís not like this tastes like a fake fruit lambic. Dosent have the artificial taste to it. I think itís pretty pleasant, and very well-done to style. Have had a lot of them, never found any unclean notes (where would they be coming from, anyways, watermelon and wheat are certainly not going to add off-notes).

Smells of a watermelon Jolly Rancher. Thatís the last good thing I can say for this beer! Itís hazy amber in color and tastes like a stale cupcake with a fake watermelon aftertaste. Not my thing!!

Pours clear golden color with white head. Watermelon aroma. Very crisp wheat citrus flavor with watermelon light watermelon flavor. Reminds me of a jolly rancher. Not really my thing.

12oz can pours a slightly hazy golden color with a thick white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of watermelon and wheat and cereal grains. Tastes of all the same things. Mouthfeel is thin and watery with good carbonation. Pretty unique wheat beer with the addition of watermelon. Perfect for a warm summer day. This is a beer youíll either like or hate. I happen to like it.

Appearance was somewhere between a Corona and the Yellow No. 5 coloring in Mountain Dew. Poured from 12 oz can with a tall frothy head of medium large bubbles that quickly dissipated. Smell was of wheat and hay or grass with a hint of the watermelon. Taste almost mirrored the smell with the inclusion of a hint of sweet candy and metallic aluminum. Mouthfeel was light and slightly oily. Aftertaste was sweet and grassy. Overall not spectacular.
