ABBF ’08 - Eh, this beer was what I expected it to be, but then I am slightly biased because of canned beer 1 and for 2, I hate watermelons. Somewhat watery, with no real or substantial wheat qualities, somewhat grainey, just an ever so slight hint of watermenlon which is somewhat sour and leads to a disappointing finish. The only thing reminiscent of a wheat beer is the slight bit of bubblegum flavor. Bland!

Can from BevMo, La Mesa. Slightly hazy golden in color. Sour grainy aroma with a little bit of cream cheese. Sweet creamy fruit flavor. Somewhat sour. Decent fruit beer.

Can. Clearish yellow with a white head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is sweeter earthy malt, a little bready / grainy. The flavor is somewhat like a wheat beer, grainy malt, and the watermelon is in there as well. The watermelon flavor is a little more like watermelon aftertaste. Interesting beer.

12oz can. poured a hazy yellow with a quickly dissipating white head. A bit of spicyness and a hint of watermelon, maybe the rind. Wow, their is a big watermelon taste, very interesting. Not too bad bad a beer actually

Courtesy of DYCSoccer17. Dull, hazy yellow, little head formation. Slightly buttery, sourish watermelon aroma. Dry, utilitarian flavor, surprisingly prominent watermelon flavor, light metallicness. Dry, lightly hoppy finish, lightly tart.

Pours a slightly hazy, golden hay color with a huge white head that leaves a bunch of lacing behind. A light, sweet, wheaty smell, not too phenolic with only a hint of sweet smelling fruit that could only be construed as watermelon when you know to look for it. Taste is similar to the smell with a bit more discernible watermelon presence but not much more. A very dry finish to a refreshing but not incredibly impressive beer. Its a good summer beer but after having already gone through about 6 real watermelons this summer it just didn’t live up to expectations.
