The name is a tribute to the hop shortage a few years ago. A imperial IPA aged on oak using Columbus, Centennial and cascades as the bittering hops and dry hopping with Simcoe, Ahtanum, Amarillo, and Cascades.

The best part of this beer is the aroma. When you open the can and take a whiff, it promises something great. Then you drink it and it sucks. In an over-saturated genre of beer, this is one of the offenders. I am confident that the ’aging’ of this beer ruins a lot of what makes hoppy beers good. Do you like beers like Hopslam or Green Flash West Coast IPA? Beers that have BRIGHT hop flavors? If so you will most likely think this is total ass. I WANTED to like the packaging. I’m into this whole ’fancy beer in cans’ thing. But then I started reading the little words printed all over the can. They are stupid. A total waste of time. Don’t even bother. It’s NOT funny, or cute, or anything other than asinine. Also, I resent the caricatured faces drawn on the can. Are those the guys who make the beer or something? Why is it important to them that their faces are on the beer? Fucking egoists. I want my money back. Bummertown.

Can thanks to Russell. Pours a cloudy orange with small off white head. The aroma is pine and citrus. Strong pine, medium mouth, malt bomb.

Very nice hop forward aroma and even more so on the palate. Very little malt taste on this beer. Finishes crisp on the palate.

Pours a hazy gold with a white head. The aroma is spicy hops and lots of pine and resin. The flavor is lots of resin and grapefruit with a bitter finish over a surprisingly light body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canned. Pours a yellow golden hazy color with a prominent white head. Aroma is super floral and aromatic. Tons of citrus, grapefruit, a little bit of dankness, distinct biscuit cracker-like maltiness. Really nice aroma. Flavor is super hoppy, lots of citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, a little boozy, maybe a touch of that oak? Little bit of malt backbone. Really good this. Nice carbonation as well.

4 week old can practically dripping with tropical fruits and pine. Light in color, not in character. Really enjoyed this dank offering - probably the best I’ve had from 21st ammendment. Only monks blood is even close."

Where and how: can 355 ml , GG
Aroma wonderfully rounded, juicy hop feel. Mild sweetness, gentle alcohol dryness. Good malt backing. Late feel of vanilla..
Appearance :
Top: medium, fizzy, off-white top. Sparse lace.
Base: golden.
Palate : medium plus bodied.
Taste: pineapple, sweet sugars on lips. Mid semi-dry. Plenty of citrus paired with drying alcohol.
Other notes very nice, easy going considering size.
