The name is a tribute to the hop shortage a few years ago. A imperial IPA aged on oak using Columbus, Centennial and cascades as the bittering hops and dry hopping with Simcoe, Ahtanum, Amarillo, and Cascades.

12oz can, drank a little out of the can and most from a snifter. Poured a clear pale golden color. A fluffy two finger off white head sat on top. Aroma of sweet malts and vanilla oak, not as much hops as I was expecting, but considering this was canned 6 months before it hit my nostrils, that’s no surprise. Still it has nice earthy tones from the cascade and Simone, some citrus and bright fruits. Taste is sweet, lots of roasted malts and some orange peel. Smooth vanilla-like flavors from the oak, followed by an unexpected hop aftertaste. The bitterness lingers like grapefruit and resinous pine. Mouthfeel is thick and chewy, moderate carbonation lightens it up a little. 9.7abv is discreet and certainly sneaks up on you. A very smooth drinkable imperial IPA, would’ve liked to have it fresh and when I can get it I will! Awesome and unexpected.

Very nice hop forward aroma and even more so on the palate. Very little malt taste on this beer. Finishes crisp on the palate.

Pours a hazy gold with a white head. The aroma is spicy hops and lots of pine and resin. The flavor is lots of resin and grapefruit with a bitter finish over a surprisingly light body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canned. Pours a yellow golden hazy color with a prominent white head. Aroma is super floral and aromatic. Tons of citrus, grapefruit, a little bit of dankness, distinct biscuit cracker-like maltiness. Really nice aroma. Flavor is super hoppy, lots of citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, a little boozy, maybe a touch of that oak? Little bit of malt backbone. Really good this. Nice carbonation as well.

4 week old can practically dripping with tropical fruits and pine. Light in color, not in character. Really enjoyed this dank offering - probably the best I’ve had from 21st ammendment. Only monks blood is even close."

Where and how: can 355 ml , GG
Aroma wonderfully rounded, juicy hop feel. Mild sweetness, gentle alcohol dryness. Good malt backing. Late feel of vanilla..
Appearance :
Top: medium, fizzy, off-white top. Sparse lace.
Base: golden.
Palate : medium plus bodied.
Taste: pineapple, sweet sugars on lips. Mid semi-dry. Plenty of citrus paired with drying alcohol.
Other notes very nice, easy going considering size.
