COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The name is a tribute to the hop shortage a few years ago. A imperial IPA aged on oak using Columbus, Centennial and cascades as the bittering hops and dry hopping with Simcoe, Ahtanum, Amarillo, and Cascades.

Tasted on December 10, 1012: A: Pours a rather mucky orange color, kind of like a hefeweizen, but darker. Medium head of foam, disappears rather quickly, about a minute. S: Smells of hops and something very sweet, but canít put my finger on it. Also, a slight whiff of pine. T: Not nearly as hoppy as I was expecting. Somewhat piney and very dry and malty in the finish. M: Very smooth and not much of a long lasting aftertaste. Just a slight maltiness on the tongue. Very light. O: Not a bad beer at all. I really enjoyed this. It was a nice change from other Imperial IPAís that focus all on the hops. Serving type: can

One of the clearest IIPAís I remember seeing. Clear yellow with a white head. Taste is spicy, citrus, some pine hops, malt sweetness and a decent bit of booze. The palate is heavier than the appearance led me to expect. Very good, but not the exceptional IIPA I was expecting from the ratebeer score.

Pours a pale golden color with a white head. Hop, citrus, floral, pine and biscuit aroma. Resinous hop, mango, grapefruit, pine, oak and biscuit flavors. Medium body and carbonation with a resinous hop and citrus finish.

Lukaduke (2664) - Gray, Maine, USA - JUN 29, 2015
Pours a medium golden color with two finger of sticky white foam. Nose is grassy with underlying citrus, some boozy tropical notes and a touch of sweet honey. Palate follows the nose, a touch sweeter than expected with some notes of honeycomb cereal, tangerine, bitter fresh grass, pine. Lingers with some fusel booze but the background sweetness mellows it out nicely.

12 oz can says best before 10-15-15. Hazy golden pour with a white head that leaves a bit of a film. Lots of nail polish on the nose. Get some citrus in there as well. Decent hop presence in the flavor. More nail polish. Itís aight.

Very nice hop forward aroma and even more so on the palate. Very little malt taste on this beer. Finishes crisp on the palate.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2015 Crystalline gold, plenty of carbonation and a huge head. Smell is fresh green hops, slightly woody, lots of pine, tangerine and herbal character. Flavor is tangerine/orange, no alcohol burn, good bit of oak/chardonnay flavor too. Velvety-smooth with a sweet finish.

Can. Orangey-gold pour, billowy white head with excellent retention and lacing. Tropical fruit, citrus, cakey malt nose, mouth is medium bodied and full of the same fruit in the nose. Little too sweet in my opinion. Really not that interesting either to be honest. Maybe Iím just finally burned out on IPAs.

355ml can. Golden pour. Pungent smell: perfume, booze, oregano, spices, herbs, citrus, peach, vanilla. caramel. Bit too boozy on the nose, almost burns the nostrils. Flavor is odd. Extremely boozy for one, not much midpalate, it is kind of like a spicy imperial golden vanilla ale, not really a dipa. Finish is boozy with a fairly heavy bitterness. Surprised at the ratings, this is odd. THis burns booze.

Can thanks to Russell. Pours a cloudy orange with small off white head. The aroma is pine and citrus. Strong pine, medium mouth, malt bomb.
