COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep, mahogany color, rich malt candied, rock sugar flavors with sweet burnt currant and fig aromas. It’s strong alcohol content is tempered by a clean bitterness and complex flavors. This Barley Wine is named for Cornelius de Boom, the San Francisco Belgian Consulate General (1850 to 1851) and surprisingly the name of the alley along-side the 21st Amendment on 2nd Street.–

Pours red / brown with very little tan head. Aroma is rather fruity and sweet. A bit thin in mouth, rather salty. Bitter alcohol burn finish.

Cannette de 8,4oz comme sur la photo. Merci Patrick.

Nice aroma with a hood presentation. Not to heavy on the palate and a medium hop presence. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ist barley wine I’ve tried in a can. The beer had a aroma and taste of metallic can. Strong alcohol taste, full to medium bodied, basement aromas, sticky, slick feel. The caramel taste made it drinkable, just not for me.

8.4oz can picked up at 21st Amendment
Appearance: Pours clear dark amber with a small cream beige head and spotty lacing
Aroma: Ripe fruit and toasted malts
Taste: Toasted malts, toffee, burnt sugars and fruity
The alcohols are well hidden and a lot going on. A nice beer.

Caramel colored pour, light head. Brown sugar, caramel, spicy hops, dark honey, light butterscotch candy. I enjoyed this. Funny little can. Bold beer.

Little red bull sized can, pours mahogany with a small tan head, turns into a collar, no lacing. Aroma is nice, toffee, brown sugar, good hop notes that are in the backseat, some raisin and fig as well, stronger booze notes as it warms. Taste is as described with the rock sugar flavors, some buttery toffee notes, fig, good slight hop bitterness with some pine to help it out, its a little hot, the abv is a little noticeable, but not too much. Nice brew that I’m glad i found.

Tiny, gold colored 250ml can. Pours medium brown color. Aroma of citrus hops, sweet caramel malts, toasted grains. Tastes strong. Bold bitter hops, citrus oils, toasted barley malt, huge alcohol. Very alcoholic. Tiny can, huge beer. (3692)

Poured from a can. Pours a translucent copper with a soapy white head of foam with not much retention. Aroma is sweet caramels and some cherry. Tastes sweet and malty complex. A little hot, but not too bad overall.
