On tap at 21st Amendment Brewery, San Francisco, 28th Feb 2011. Black with a thin head. Lovely dry roast malt aroma with a peppery, almost chili spiciness too. Good balance of hops and chocolately malt flavours. Quite light palate for the strength.

On tap at the brewpub. Black with a small tan head. Good roasted coffee and chocolate aroma with a punch of chocolate in the mouth. Good roasted flavours as well. Serious beer.

Draft. Blackish beer with a nice light brown head. Nutty and chocolate aroma. Chocolate and caramel flavor with light nuttiness and some fruitiness. Medium bodied. Light roast and chocolate lingers with caramel and light nuttiness.
