4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From the can. Rich reddish/purple color with thin off-white head and minimal lacing. Moderately carbonated. Complex aroma and palate, nicely resembling a classic abbey strong dark ale, with the requisite sweetness and dark fruit flavors. Hides the alcohol well until the very end and it adds a nice bite to balance the sugar. Very delicious.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rich malty sweetness with notes caramel, toast and figs. Appearance is a hazy deep amber with a small head with poor head retention. Flavor is malty sweet with notes of toast. Bitterness dries the beer out on the end. Body is medium with medium carbonation. Overall, it's ok, nothing special.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a purplish-brown from a can. Aroma is a fruity caramel, flavor makes it more of a fig or plum pudding. Can’t taste the cinnamon noted on the can. Round mouthfeel, alcohol burn towards the end but not much. Good beer.
