On cask, sampled at the Real Ale Festival at Pizza Port Carlsbad on 6/13. One of only a few oak-aged IPA’s I’ve had recently. Hazy golden color with minimal white head. Aroma of sappy orange peel and lemon, with minimal effect from the oak-aging. Maybe some tones of light coriander and potpourri as well. Nicely balanced with a thick cask body and lasting bitterness with mild hop oils.

On cask at PP Real Ale Festival. Yellow amber color. Nice hoppy aroma. I don’t detect the usual oak aged buttery oaky aroma characteristics, but it is mellow and easy to drink. Malty, sweet. mellow carbonatino. Yummy.

Tasted at the Pizza Port REal Ale Fest. Dark red brown with a foamy head. Oak and citrus aroma. Chocolate, citrus, and oak taste. Decent.
