Draft. Black beer with a nice tan head. Chocolate aroma. Big chocolate flavor with light roast and some sweet malt. Medium bodied. Relatively easy drinking. Big chocolate notes linger with light roast and a bit of malt.

Nose of cocoa, roast, caramel, light dried fruits and molasses. Medium bodied, jet black. Flavor very similar to nose, more chocolate and roast, less caramel, slight apple ester to it. Medium to dry finish, medium bitterness but not lingering.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2009 On tap at 21A for Strong Beer Week. A really nice strong porter. Black in color with a substantial lasting tan head and good lacing. Aroma is roasty with coffee and chocolate. Flavor is more of the same, with lots of bitter chocolate that lasts on the finish. Palate is medium and a little creamy. Drinkable.
