2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2014 Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a very pale yellow color with an enormous foamy white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was dryish egg whites, a touch of sulfur and citrus. The flavor was dry and chalky with notes of citric acid and Windex. Long dry chalk and Windex finish. Light to medium body. Not good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Bruce’s birthday tasting. Cheers to the man himself! The pour’s light gold with a small head. The aroma’s brett, light cheese, graham cracker, dusty attic and moldy grape. Similar flavors. Plenty of pillowy brett. Marshmallow. Musty grape. Soft citrus. Lightly dry finish. Farmhouse yeast. Light body, active carbonation. Nice brett profile, but a bit simple. OK.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can at Bruce’s 30th celebrations, 08/02/13, thanks to Peter for sharing this one.
Hazed pale golden with a thin white head that clears to bubbles at the edge.
Nose is spice, herb, grass, lemon.
Taste comprises pale malt, yeast, citrus, spice, a little less depth than the nose suggested.
Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, dry in the finish.
Ok - drinkable stuff but far from being a great saison.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Slight sour aroma. Mild on the palate. A light version of a Saison aka Farmhouse Ale. Pretty easy to drink.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can from Village Wine & Spirits in Athens. Cardamom, honey, some funk, and some other stink. Clear straw, thin filmy white head. Sweet & bitter in equal degrees / in mid palate, the funk rises into the sinuses / just a touch cloying in the finis, along with tiny bitter traces. Thin-medium body. Cardmom is interesting here (instead of coriander); it blands nicely with the farmhouse character.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz can. Pours hazy pale yellow with a collapsing white head. Aroma is extremely fragrant--I get floral notes (cardamom?), fruit (melon), a hint of funk. Taste is lightly sweet, spicy (clove), a bit sour, savory and finishes dry and lightly bitter. Palate is a little thin. It’s tasty and interesting but it’s missing something.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap: hazy light yellow, thin white head. Wheat and clove nose. Flavor starts weizen-like with wheat, clove, a little bubblegum, honey and banana, then moves into a grassy dry finish. I liked most parts of this beer. It was a bit overly dry at the finish and I was hoping for some yeasty flavors to come through, still makes for good drinking.
