COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You might not expect a Saison in winter. But the enemy didnít expect Washington to cross the icy Delaware, either. Expectations be damned, we say. Weíre sneaking up on winter with a boatload of bravado and this Belgian-style farmhouse ale. Dry hopped with whole organic cardamom pods, our Saison has an assertive spiciness. In your face, winter.

Courtesy of Brendan, shared with Andrew and streets. Pours a cloudy yellow body with creamy white head that settles nicely into thick lacing. Aroma is lots of banana, spice, grass, and faint urine. Mouthfeel is medium to light with notes of banana and clove dominating; additional flavors of spice, grass, light hop, and a vague floralness.

can. hazy gold with a large fluffy white head. bright herbal citrus nose. the flavor is highly spiced and minty, like wintergreen, with vanilla sweetness. light body. donít like the minty. i love most of 21A beers but iím still haunted by their "spring saison" or "saison" or whatever the hell it was from last summer, when i forced an entire 64oz growler of lavender infused soap down my gullet because i just canít bring myself to pour out a beer(i now know that it is the dreaded cardamom spice). this is just too uncomfortably close to that concoction. in fact, i think it is the same stuff. got me twice now.

Pours a pale yellow with short-lived head fading to an outer ring and minimal lacing. Aroma is funky pale malt with some spices and sour fruits. Taste is spicy and bready up front, then into a funky yeast and malt character with some cardamom. Overall this is pretty bold and for being so earthy and yeasty it vanished pretty quickly.

Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is funky, citrus, earthy and yeast. Taste is sweet with a tart finish. Light bodied with thin texture and bitter finish. Nice, a solid go to saison

Draft @ The Ale House in Amesbury. Smells and tastes of yeast and citrus with spicy pepper. Body is light-medium with a strong, effervescent carbonation. Cardamom pods uh?? Herbal and Earthy hops linger throughout. A dry, spicy finish. An affordable option for saison in a can or on draft. Not amazing but decent. It will not blow you away but still some nice flavors.

Bruceís Birthday Bash at the Craft Clerkenwell. Thanks to the old boy Bruce. Light haze on this gold beer. Little white head. Light dry palate. Airy. Mild fine carbonation. Pronounced herby character with a trace of citrus underneath. Dry finish with a little pine. Okay.

12 oz can. Pours cloudy yellow color with white head. Aromas of cardamom, orange peel, dough and spices. Similar flavors, overspiced for my liking. Medium body with lively carbonation.
