COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You might not expect a Saison in winter. But the enemy didn’t expect Washington to cross the icy Delaware, either. Expectations be damned, we say. We’re sneaking up on winter with a boatload of bravado and this Belgian-style farmhouse ale. Dry hopped with whole organic cardamom pods, our Saison has an assertive spiciness. In your face, winter.

355ml can. The cardamom just gets lost here in the wildly-fermented ester bomb that this beer is.

Like the cardamom spice. A bit hazy straw color with just enough bitterness.

Poured from a can. Hazy yellow gold straw. Lemony farm funk nose. Palate is citrus, dry through the middle...little Belgian spice. Decent beer.

Can. Hazy, straw yellow pour with billowing white head, excellent retention. Nose is mild funk, straw, lemongrass, lilies, chamomile. Mouth is medium bodied, grassy, mint, tons of bread dough, toast, faint spice, underpinning bitterness balances it a bit. It’s okay.

Hazy, yellow with a white head. The aroma has floral and lightly spicy hops with a touch of lemon. It has a light, somewhat watery body with average carbonation. The taste is bittersweet with a dry finish.

Can from Beer & Wine. Hazy butterscotch body with thin white head. Nose is citrus, spicy, wheat. Taste is citrus bursts and wheat and honey. Pretty good with nice texture and kick to it. Enjoyable.
