COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You might not expect a Saison in winter. But the enemy didnít expect Washington to cross the icy Delaware, either. Expectations be damned, we say. Weíre sneaking up on winter with a boatload of bravado and this Belgian-style farmhouse ale. Dry hopped with whole organic cardamom pods, our Saison has an assertive spiciness. In your face, winter.

12 oz can pours light, clear yellow with small head. Yeast and spice in the aroma. Tastes like a spiced version of the classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is earthy, clean and refreshing. This should be a summer seasonal. Great Saison!

Can. Pours a clear pale yellow with minimal white head. Aroma of Belgian yeasts and cardamom. Taste is a bit sour up front, light to medium body, with a tiny bit of bitterness and spiciness in the finish. Pretty good.

This starts with a sweet bready malt aroma, with hints of cardamom. It pours a hazy light straw with a full white head. Nice earthy bitterness to it, very light on the palate. Not a bad saison, although Iíd still probably prefer this on a hot summer day.

From a can. Very light yellow color. Slightly spiced character with hints of bubble gum, banana, and lime. Easy drinking and smooth.

Can: Pour is hazy gold with a fast fading medium white head. aroma is strong cardamom and clove spice. Ginger and lemon as well. Flavour is lemon, slightly yeasty. white pepper, cardamom spice. Earthy biscuity malt. Body is a touch on the thin side, but overall I enjoyed this very spice forward beer.

Canned December 16, 2012.
Appearance: The body is a slightly hazy straw color, rather clear though, exposing fine carbonation bubbles. The head is white and pillowy with average retention, it settles into a foamy ring while leaving some messy lacing.
Aroma: The aroma is hard to describe, some spices throughout, slightly peppery, with some funk, and lemons.
Taste: The intro is a bit bland, hints of lemon though, with a clean malty mid-taste that picks up hints of banana and a very light herbal flavor, slight funk with a lingering spice on the finish. Very refreshing, but a bit bland, easy as heck to drink though.
Palate: Medium creamy body, with sharp carbonation on the finish.
Overall: I donít love this when it comes to critical drinking, thereís nothing about this that makes me want to come back to it if Iím picking it apart. What makes this beer great is itís drinkability. This is a beer I could easily put back a 6 pack of without thinking. I enjoy this, I just wish it were available for the Summer.

Can from Wegmans. Pours clear yellow with a small white head that quickly dissipates, active carbonation. The aroma is funky coriander, cardamom, tons of spice! The taste is spicy lemon zest, orange citrus, the carbonation hits the tongue fairly hard, and the finish is dry.

Pale yellow, slightly cloudy, with a little bit of white head. The farmhouse yeast can be very off-putting if this beer is warm. If served quite cold, the aroma is pleasant: grass, hay, and nectarines. Flavor is mildly bitter. Very refreshing. Overall, this is a decent beer, but I was hoping for more.
