COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian caramel malts and light candi sugar combined with yeast from l’Achouffe. We then hopped it up with some California Soul, creating what could be considered a Belgian Imperial IPA.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a cream colored head. Light grapefruit and yeast aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with yeast. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and pine linger with yeast and light earthiness.

A: The pour is an extremely murky copper color with a white head and some sticky lacing. S: The nose starts off with citrus hops followed quickly by sweet caramel malts and a bit of candi sugar. Some semi-sweet oranges and grapefruit peel as well as a lot of spicy esters. T: A decent citrus/grapefruit bitterness and hop flavor up front. Moderately sweet with a big-time yeast flavor on the aftertaste. There’s something very grassy and herbal about this beer too, almost like eucalyptus. M: The body is medium to full and the carbonation is moderate. D: Supposed to be a "Belgian Imperial IPA". Certainly quite Belgian, but I don’t get too much of an Imperial IPA character. At least there’s not too much alcohol presence, but this wasn’t exactly super drinkable.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a thin beige head and a sweet malt aroma. There is a carbonated caramel malt flavor with candi sugar and a very bitter finish.
