3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught @ 21st Amendment Brewery, San Francisco.
Pours a copper yellow colour with a lacy white head. Aroma of grainy malts, grass and really strong hay. Flavour of strong hay as well, grainy malts, lemongrass and bitter grassy hops. Light bodied, dry mouthfeel and a dry, malty finish with loads and loads of hay. On a hot day such as today this rocks.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice, common-style ale. Clean and crisp, plenty of hopping, but ultimately backed by light-yet-abundant malts. Just the thing for a late summer afternoon in San Francisco. Draft.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is hazy yellow w/ a small head of mixed bubbles. Itís a nice, crisp blond overall and this is a style Iím beginning to really enjoy. The hopping is mild but w/ a distinct American character. It sounds like damning w/ faint praise but I feel compelled to mention this lighter beer is devoid of faint praise. I am into it. Itís a nice beer to drink.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at the brewpub on 8/10/10. Clear gold pour with a thick white head. Creamy malt nose thatís a bit dense for the style. Not complaining. Malty flavor with a bit of creaminess and some crisp noble hops in the finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A: The pour is an amber-orange color with a big white head on it.
S: A somewhat light nose with notes of spices, yeast, and lightly floral hops. There is an underlying bready quality to the beer as well.
T: Quite bready with a hint of creaminess to it at first. The same light yeast note is present in the flavor, providing a slight spice flavor. As the beer warms up, it has a bit of a corn flavor.
M: The body is light to medium with plentiful carbonation to the beer.
D: One of the better blonde ales that Iíve had, but still sort of a pedestrian beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a clear golden body and a huge white head. Aroma of corn, grain, noble hops (saaz it seems like). Taste is dry, grainy, grassy and lightly fruity in the finish. Dry and drinkable. 21stís website says that this is a blonde ale, if it were mine, Iíd label it a Kolsch.
