On tap at the brewpub. Pousr an unusually clear light gold with a white head. The aroma is of Juicy Fruit over soft wheat. Light-bodied and grainy with a wheaty, lightly drying finish. The flavor is a mildly spicy/fruity/plastic front over a wheaty body which concludes with an odd accent of a significant plastic note in the finish. This is not a great beer. Given my friends’ previous reviews I have to wonder if there was a QC/line issue with this batch. I didn’t get any of the usual orange/coriander tandem they describe, and it just didn’t come together for me.

Growler picked up at the brewpub for me by beastiefan2k. Pour is mostly clear golden orange with a two inch off white head and nice cascading settling. Aroma is soft banana esters and cloves. Some spicy citrus present as well. Taste is more of the bananas and cloves, along with a nice mineral earthy wheatiness to it. Decent bitter-sweet orange citrus bite to the finish. Palate has nice cleansing carbonation and is a bit heavier than many wits I have had. This works nicely with the mineral element. Nice clean beer. Thanks for picking this up for me Eugene.

Pint @ brewpub. The brew has a very hazy, muted orange color. Aroma is prominent sweet orange peel. There is a light earthy herb-acious coriander following that. Taste is again more prominent coriander with a zingy muted orange. A bit of sweetness in the aftertaste as well. Overall, the feel to the beer is a bit non-standard, a strong heavier Wit. Not imperial or anything just not wimpy. I would drink again and highly recommend.
