acrdz (4493), Boulder, Colorado, USA Oct 13, 2008 Dark copper colored body, clear and filtered. Has that nice crunchy, harsh roughness - a heavy dose of cracker barley and crusty dried honey syrup sweetness. Bright on the palate, moderately astringent and rough, but crisp and fresh. A nice granola, graham cracker and honey malt sweetness in the finish, with a snappy, rough baked dough yeast note. Decent stuff. heemer77 (3827), Savannah, Missouri, USA Sep 23, 2008 The body was dark amber with iced tea brown at the edges. There was also an off white head. The aroma was fresh cut apples with some caramel and almonds. There taste was lightly bitter bread crust with some apple core. There was some iced tea in the finish. Decent. beastiefan2k (1182), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA Sep 22, 2008 Growler from brewpub. Pours a slightly darker, clear, copper color. Has a small head and leaves a sticky lacing. Aroma is hoppy (green rubber hops). Behind that is just a clean, empty brew. Taste is strong on the bitterness from the hops and gain nothing much past that. Its basically a hoppy, clean, amber ale with a dressed up like a Cali Common. What’s that about pigs and lipstick? vyvvy (1775), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Jun 21, 2008 STL microfest. Pours clear bronze with a tan head. The aroma has grassiness and creamy rich malt. Medium body that has light carbonation. The taste is like the aroma with more spiciness and some earthy traits. A clean / crisp beer that was very enjoyable on a warm summer day.
