Origin of name: This beer is named after its unique garnet red-brown color (darker than most dark beers). The color of Černá Hora Granát could lead its consumer to call it a "black beer". Taste: it is characterized by its fullness, sweetness and very dark color. A high proportion of Bavarian, caramel and coloring malt based on a longstanding recipe gives the beer its unmistakable caramel taste and markedly influences its bitterness. It is distinguishable by its good head and vigor. Has won 1st place in category of dark lagers upon competition - "The Golden Cup PIVEX - BEER 1999". Winning competition "Dočesná Žatec" in 1995 -1999 years

Brun öl med mörbeige skum. Doft av mörkt bröd, lättare rostade toner och karamell. Detsamma i smaken tillsammans med viss jordiga toner. Bra balanserad öl.

On tap. Dark brown to burgundy color, thick offwhite to beige head. Toasted malts and leafy hops leading to a dry mild bitter finish. Some slight fruity overtones. Nice tmavy, solid, quite light and enjoyable.

Tap at Slovansky lipy. Dark brown, orange tints. Nose of coffee, licorice, caramel, chocolate, cream. Rather sweet, flavorful, full. Well done though not mind-blowing.

Aromat: karmel, przypieczona skórka od chleba. Barwa: czarna. Piana: średnio-obfita. Wysycenie: średnio-wysokie. W smaku sporo karmelu i przypieczonego chleba, trochę kwasowości, niezbyt wysoka goryczka. Piwo jest wytrawne, mało ciała. Dobre i pijalne ciemne piwo, zaskakująco aromatyczne.

Bottle shared on the train to the Cotteridge Convention 2015. Thanks to Fergus for this one. Pours clear amber-brown with a creamy tan head. The nose holds toasted brown bread and caramel. Medium sweet flavor with a slight metallic edge, light burnt toast, dry caramel, mild earthy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced in the finish with more burnt toasted brown bread, light grain, toffee, earthy hops. Very nice dunkel.

Aroma is woody, raisin, malty, nutty and a little earth. Flavour is composed of sweet nutty caramel malts, raisin, wheats, caramel nutty grains. Palate is semi-sweet, moderate carbonation. Pretty decent.

0,5l bottle. Dark color with small beige head. Aroma of malt and roasted malt. Taste coffee, chocolate and honey, medium body, short bitter finish, very balanced. Excellent dark lager, one of my favorite.
