Bottle. I remember tasting this first in Sternberk,CZ. Pours deep brown with an appealing red when held to the light. Nice beige head also. Light malty aroma. Flavour is light grassy hay hops and a touch of chocolate/caramel. Refreshing and easy drinking. Delicious.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 AshtonMcCobb (924) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 5, 2012
50cl bottle. Pours a chestnut brown with a red hue which makes it look like cherry cola. Nice generous head too. The nose has nettley hops with just a hint of chocolate. The taste has toffee, smokey nuts and biscuity finish. The palate is medium bodied with a rich creamy texture and a fresh and tangy finish. Overall, this is great, like a black lager version of an English bitter.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 suprchunk (1057) - Heinsberg, GERMANY - APR 10, 2012
Dark brown pour. Slight tan/khaki head that leaves a little lacing around. Malty aroma with some roasty backings. Little bit of a metallic presence noted. Sweet matliness with a nice coffee roasted flavor. The metallic presence shows up again in the aftertaste. Not annoying, but still there. Not a bad beer at all.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Szadi (6) - HUNGARY - MAR 1, 2012 does not count
Nem túl testes, inkább egy könnyed ivósör, de szerencsére nem tűnik túl vizesnek. Kellemesen édeskés, s közben visszafogottan kesernyés, a dunkelek/schwarzbierek között bőven megállja a helyét.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Derek881 (726) - Frederick, Maryland, USA - OCT 2, 2011
I had this beer on tap in Prague. It had a dark brown color with a touch of an amber/red hue, and a huge creamy and foamy light tan head with good retention and a lot of cling. The aroma had some earthy hops with a touch of floral hops, along with some grain and cereal notes. It had a subtle sweet malt flavor, but was also somewhat bitter with a grainy/earthy taste component. The body was somewhat light with low carbonation and was a bit thin and a touch watery.
