COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Origin of name: the name is taken from the name of the star Kvasar. The inventor of this beer was Mr. Jiří Jelínek, who began brewing beer at home in his brewery in Sentice not far from Tišnov. Taste: this beer is characterized by its good head, golden yellow to golden brown color, and good vigor and fullness, which incite further drinking and corresponds to the characteristics of semi-fermented Czech beers. It is distinguished by its slightly sweet character due to its well-balanced bitterness and subtle honey flavor.

330ml bottle.
Pale gold, gushed a bit, brief head. Sweet and slightly lemony aroma. Taste similar, but body filled out with some pleasant maltiness and a bit of honey. Still a bit lagery, but quite full flavoured. Bitter hoppy finish, a tad astringent. I can imagine some lager drinkers liking this, but it’s not my thing.

Bottle: Golden colour, thin, short lasting head; sweetish, slightly malty beginning, malt-accented taste, quite medium bodied, short, spicy and bitter aftertaste with a tinge of sweetness; the honey is extremely well hidden, nearly the same brew as the "Lezak" with a tinge of sweetness, but not , as expected, better rounded. Anyway: a good one.......

(bottle) Clear golden colour with a thin white layer. Shy sweet malty aroma. Medium sweet malty taste with a rather dry hoppy finish, with a clear but low-key honey note on the palate. Medium bodied and crisp. An enjoyable brew.

The Lure:
Mineral honey and mild herbal hops make for a rather unappealing aroma. Simple and somewhat childish in its direct and naive sweetness.

The Festivities:
Fizzy effervescence through honeyed malts have never pleased me, and this isn’t an exception. That mineral character is still there, fading into a quiet dryness. Not much to say about this one I’m afraid, really not up to par to the 11 or 12 from this brewery.

Transcendence:
Candy shops don’t appeal to me anymore.

little 0,33l bottle, quite unusual for Czech beers to come in such small bottles. Amber coloured beer with medium-sized head. Traces of honey detectable. Underlinded by a hoppy dryness, very interesting beer.

Slight (cold?) hazy deep gold; snow-white head, fast gone. Cocos, every so slight sourish tinge in the aroma - nothing uplifting. Taste - yes, here’s some honey, as the immediate initial flavour. Then some moments of more bitter, hoppy flavour, ending again dull-sweet. Palate is again more bitterish, but not anywhere noble hops-like. Bit of flavour as "honingbollen" - Belgian anti-cough sweets. Light MF - but also empty. Uninteresting beer, dull. Tastes like many’s the homebrew.

500 ml bottle. From Latvia. Pale golden colour with medium white head. Sweet aroma with butter, caramel and apple. Flavour is sweet. Honey. A bit too sweet.
